I love the bat, it's too cute. For your sizing issue, incase you do something similar, use the casing your getting rid of as a pattern. Cut it in half and make any small cuts necessary to make it lay flat then trace around in on your fabric of choice leaving a bit of extra space for gluing the seams

Ok. Just thought of a challenge for you. So you know how everyone has their own gremlin that steals something very specific from you? It’s like the sock gremlin which are a plague that can be found everywhere only this gremlin is your gremlin and keeps taking something very specific from you that you keep think you are loosing. Another way to get out the simple dimple: so are you having trouble breaking the simple dimple out of ur fidget? Well, there’s basically an easy step to do it so you could just hold the top/bottom of the fidget and try to rip it in half and find a way to get it out. Maybe that will help.😃

Those fabric hot glue sticks are a brilliant investment!!! Such a good idea. Also this is the first time I've heard of fabric hot glue sticks. Very impressed. The bat is my favourite hes so cute! However if you wanted a better fit probably should have traced the frog/turtle and then have it a seem edge so when you where done gluing the pieces together you would have been able to flip it in the right way giving you a perfect finish and a perfect fit for the bat.

The bat? I didn't show it on camera but I tried to make the felt base a couple different times. It kept being too small, eventually I settled on the best of the bunch lol. I could've kept trying I guess, but yeah, at some point I had to move on. But rest assured, I did try multiple times. If I were to do it again I would probably make it much, much bigger just to be on the safe side 😳

I was just having the same issue with puffy paint! It deflates so much. I literally applied it with a palette knife and it was nearly flat when it dried. For a canvas like I was using, I think I'll use joint compound first to create the look I was going for and then layer the puffy paint on top, but for your purposes like eyeballs and stuff, I bet you could use hot glue to create the bulbous shape first, and then go over top with the puffy paint!
