The thing about weaponizing gas, is that you can do this only once. and now its done. Russia will take a hughe loss when it needs to invest in enourmos new infrastructure to be able to sell its gas/oil in the same quantity as they are used to. And having only one possible customer means much lower prices.

I don't understand why India thinks invasions are OK. For a country that is about to be invaded by China I'd imagine they would support Ukraine, instead they support russia, who is allied with the country that is going to invade them.....wierd. This way, china makes a profit, EU takes a loss, Russia takes a bigger loss, and EU get time to get rid of its dependence on Russian Oil and gas so there is nothing stopping us from sanctioning Russia until they withdraw from Ukraine or seizes to exist as a state.

So there is no supply problems in oil and gas. Only nations buy oil and gas at higher prices from other nations, instead of direct supply. Since enough supply of oil and gas, then why oil and gas market price their oil and gas so high? Businessman earning profit at the expense of poor and speculation in oil market and in gas must stop.
@marcdc6809
@marcdc6809 2 жыл бұрын
Actually the tide is already turning now the initial uncertainty starts to wear off, new supply routes are established... on one side China and Russia, probably also India will be punished for being in the wrong camp, so they can have some profit, but that will be reduced by sanctions in the future too. Then as you say, the real supply didn't change, but the higher inflation and intrest rates cause a recession reducing the real demand, add to that extra low domestic need from China and Russia, and soon India... and the prices will probably end up lower than before corona soon.

No country can put one's own citizens into chaos by clinging on to fanciful ideas of sanctions. Very well discussed by Wion. Two nations of same genetic clone are fighting and if others want they should try to mediate and stop the war not to promote sanctions. silly comment. Europe is dealing with a problem in Europe caused by a European country invading another European country. This is not an issue for China/Africa/Asia/India to get involved in - unless those regions WISH to be involve like China and India have. Well, we can recognise an enemy when we see one. Those countries which undermine the defence of a country that has been invaded will be judged accordingly. @DiZ Zkl US is not a dictator and it pushes for what the UN pushes for. Wasn't that simple after WW2 Russia planted a government in Poland, took control of the countries it invaded during WW2, planted the leader on North Korea, Russia had the KGB doing everything CIA was doing, just the US was able to win more support in the end and Soviet Union's push to keep up with the US crippled it's economy which pushed into free market which collapsed Soviet Union. The truth is the world has the UN and country's like Russia always had the ability to Veto thus not allowing a singular polar world. When a country murders civilians Russia can Veto to keep everyone out of it. The only major change you will see with China rise of power is the Nature of a true dictatorship regime on world order where concentration camps are ok, human rights mean less, where a countries rights to do anything within it's borders or to its Nieghbors become acceptable because we all know China will not go to save anyone without financial gains.

I don't know about this guy above but in my country 90% of homes are heated with natural gas and 97% of cars are not fully electric. Many industry and small business rely on natural gas. The electric grid is already maxed out, theres no personel, no materials. We havn't even mentioned planes/ships, not sure if they have to become "green" aswell.. The people who are supporting this energy transition usually have solar panels/electric cars/heat pumps/house battery's etc. themselves, they don't think about the rest. (The large majority that don't have these things and can't possibly afford them, if the electric grid were even upgraded that is) They don't seem to do much thinking in general, they just buy into whatever the government and the media tell them and start repeating it. One possible cause of the leak, he said, was an “inadvertent overpressurization” of the liquid hydrogen line just before fuel loading started, possibly caused by human error. That could have damaged the seal of the quick-disconnect fitting, but Sarafin added it was too soon to know.

The Europeans are in deep water, true; and it would be easy to say I told you so. But the alternative (direct military intervention beyond providing defensive weapons) would lead to ww3 (we may still stumble into it because Russia is not bound by the universal moral code and is bound to commit some moral outrage that just men will find it so inhumane beyond measure to let stand). I don't think Europe will be able to avoid the discomforts of being gas short this winter, so they might as well prepare their people. As for India, buying directly from the aggressor at a discount, what is India doing to uphold a rational world order? Nothing! Zero, zip! Its dry discount neutrality does nothing to uphold the ideals of the UN charter. Yes, the West is on a difficult path, but it is a righteous one! Can't say the same for India's policy.

well the west can really come to the table and broker a peace deal here, rather than supplying weapons, the endless debates of who is right and who is wrong will not cut down any loss of life, the only feasible soultion is talking and agreements. western sanctions and halting trade will not create peace, it brings the opposite of peace. As James Forrestal said "For the only way in which a durable peace can be created is by world-wide restoration of economic activity and international trade."

Dr Larry, Did India asked Ukraine to be a lackey of Nato/West/US to agree to install their missiles on Russia border? What were they thinking? Did you forget US response when USSR was trying to put missiles in Cuba? Putting Nato/US missiles on Russia border, that was a direct provocation so that their own citizens should not pay too much heed to rising inflation, poverty, unemployment, a fledgling economy, increase in homeless, open border, rise in crime, drugs

@@fulltu1766 First I know of no plans to put American missiles on Ukrainian soil. As far as this assertion goes, it's a falsehood. Second, calling Ukraine a "lackey" is just an ad hominem insult. Is Turkey a lackey because it's a member of NATO? I don't think any rational thinker would call Turkey a lackey of the West. Are Sweden or Finland lackeys in applying to join NATO? Ukraine yearns to be in Union with the successful, free Democratic world in the West, as is their right as a sovereign nation. But let's be clear and not be swayed from the core argument I am making by your red herrings, attacking Ukraine. Indian policy of neutrality in this case is wrong and immoral. Even Switzerland, abandoned its long history of neutrality in these circumstances. If India wants to claim it's a believer in democratic values, her present stances simply obliterates the claim. And attacking other nations difficult efforts to do the righteous thing will not absolve India's policy of the charge of moral failure in this case.

@@drlarryjohnson7880 India doesn't have anything to prove to west, we know what our country is, and yes Ukraine was going to install Nato, thereby West/US missiles at Russian border, why did you think this dispute started? And what morals can we expect from the genoci!der$, l@@ters of other countries resources and civilizations, from Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria, and many more in Africa and other continents, we are and have witnessed it all. Did you know US/West had sent their fleets to k!II Indians/to fight against India and in favor of the terr@r!$t country Pakistan during 1971 Bangladesh gen@c!de by Pakistan, ever heard if there were any repercussions happened against Pakistan or China? Even after China occupied Tibet, what did these Moral countries did? And Pakistan waged 4 wars against India, what do you think these moral countries did? Gave terr@r!$t country Pakistan Most Favored Nation status. They shifted their businesses in China gave F-16 and nuclear b@m.b to the terror!St country Pakistan, which gave it to Nort Korea, any repurcussions/sanctions against terr@r!$t country Pakistan for keep recruiting, training and infiltratig terr@r!$t$ in India and world? the history is full of their "Moral" behavior, so its rich talking about morals with these barbaric rac!$t societies.

@@drlarryjohnson7880 I thought more and jotted some more points. People are sheep, but who is deciding and implementing these foreign policies and sanctions ? of-course the Governments, West/US Governments, who fund the West/US Government? Oil n Gas and Military Industrial Complex, apart from others Big Pharmas. So, wreak chaos everywhere so much so, that those countries are more dependent on West/US. Why did US/West/NATO forced Russia and started this war by asking Ukraine to join NATO, and to deploy NATO/West armies and missiles at Russia-Ukraine border, only to left Ukraine alone? so that the West could cripple Russian/Ukraine economy, put whole lot sanctions and put pressure against Russia and its friendly countries buying Russian Oil, Gas, Military and other equipment. So that each one of those countries now to be dependent and controlled by US/West for their Oil, Defense and Technological needs? We all know how big each of these industries are, and getting more business doesn't only means profit for their Western countries, but creating more jobs and cementing strong political positions in their home countries and having greater political/diplomatic International influence by making other countries dependent on US/West for their Oil, Military and other needs, whose policies can be twisted to the benefit of US/West.
