He simply said “remember where you are…” We honestly had no problems at all and were extremely welcomed by everyone we came across. My partner said she felt so safe because everything was looked after and done for her at all times. She was treated very well. Better then me to be honest 😂 Can’t wait to go back… things are very different there now. I also think there is an enormous amount of miss-truth told about how things went down. I'd like to take a moment and clarify a few things: First off, Quran talks about the degree of responsibility of men being higher “because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means”. 2. The prophet, peace be upon him, said that the best of you is the one who is the best with his wives. And mother is at the pinnacle of your utmost affection. 3. If you look at the history, wars were a common theme. What separates Muslims is how they dealt with their subjects. When Salahuddin entered Jerusalem, he could have abused the people, instead he forgave them even though they were tortured previously. That's exactly what the prophet did when he entered Makkah victoriously. It's when you have the power to take revenge, you choose to forgive. That is true Islam. There are people in every religion who are disobedient to their lord, but that doesn't mean the religion is the reason. If a person from any other religion murders or steals, I am sure that's not what their scripture calls for. It is the individual's responsibility. Hope this clarifies.

I think they are in the right direction. Liberalism is happening in the country at a pace unimaginable. I agree activism is good in an educated and liberal society as it moves us forward. In Saudi Arabia, MBS is pushing reforms but there are conservative elements and a clash between conservative and liberals won't do much good. A background shift will be followed by conservatives coming to the path of liberalism by next generation but if the current conservative generation clashes with the current liberal counterpart then it can brew civil war. Rather a shift over generation without irking the current generation will do a better practical outcome in my opinion. It's easy to preach otherwise and criticise them because they aren't there yet but we must look at where they were and the pace they are moving with.

Saudis enjoy more than others privately, most of rich Saudis have private swimming pools , sauna , private movie theatre, many visit Bahrain in weekend to enjoy , many go to global tours etc,.those who worked in Saudi houses as drivers and domestic helps know about this, they are just opening up to attract tourists so no surprise ...
