Now robots can make conditional choices, for example Tesla car avoiding a obstacles or the simple auto room/car temperature controller. But machines can never have free will cause they are not living things. Isn't this cell that reproduces itself a contradiction then? Well no. Cells have Dna coding to reproduce in them. In this specific case, a frog tissue can do this outside the frog's body (that's the advancement). This kind of cell division is perfunctory. There is no decision taken on the spot by the cell, but previously coded Dna that already had this decision made embedded.
