not going to happen actually unless China goes too far or India gets a Grand Advantage. Reason why it isn't happening is because the costs outweigh the benefits. First thing is to cut off economic power of China, second thing is to destroy their public relations and diplomatic ties, then either force them to change their ways or die internally. All of that is going to take alot of years. India is just working on the first part, without a alternative to China things are just bound to be like this. After that is done, they'll poach all their partners in all fields with more benefits and then maybe they can go for something like that. Otherwise its a pipe dream. Currently it isn't really possible.

I have visited Palau in 2011. it does not have its own currency and is using the US dollar. Palau attractions are WW2 Japanese ship and plane wreck, German Channel where the German blasted the coral reef to create a passage to sail into the island, and all the environmental wreck from the abandoned Japanese and German mineral mines. most of the cars have its steering wheel on the right when it should be on the left because Palau are buying scraps from Japan.

Taiwan has the tenth largest navy in the world, India has the seventh. together even without the help of other countries they could easily win a defensive war on the water. With the addition of another naval power (UK, Italy, Japan, or South Korea for example) the alliance could win an offensive war.

Palau has the advantage of being a small country without massive dependent economic and trade ties like the larger countries, while at the same time not having to worry about needing to depend on a small country's military to stand up to China because although it gained full sovereignty from the US in 1994, the US still provides the defense for Palau. "Politically, Palau is a presidential republic in free association with the United States, which provides defense, funding, and access to social services."
