@@pixelatedreverie why bring the US in when now everyone hoping US help Taiwan. US is not dragged in their petty concern? Or you're too blind to see it. Goes to show the east hate the west. East need to be able to take care of their problem and stop asking help to later blame it on US to cover their arse. Ever wonder why this channel is keeping so loud noise? They scare if China take Taiwan, who is going to be next. Take a guess and help me out, who is next. My advice, don't get into a discussion you know nothing.

@@slammerlo510 Who's talking about Taiwan? US is rich today coz of being a weapon supplier n commodities in both the World Wars to both the parties involved. Since then there are countless cases of uncalled meddling in foreign affairs for personal gains. Lookup the term Economic Hit Man to start. East doesn't hate West, but the selfish outlook is evident. US has been a self proclaimed godfather of the world in the last 50 years and it would've been fine if only it wasn't so self centered. For heck, it doesn't care even about it's own citizens. The world economy is gonna go to dogs coz of the dollar printing from which only US top 1% has profited. Don't assume ignorance of ppl on Internet when your own words sound nothing but an angry tantrum for being called out. Big surprise if you are from the US..

What is heartbreaking is with all the problems we already have like drought, unemployment, underemployment, poverty, pandemic, supply chain, wealth gap, food supply, inflation, recession just to name a few leadership wants to add war to the list. Should he attack Taiwan shows he's an idiot. That issue would be my last concern. Deal with your domestic problems first. Using Taiwan as a diversionary issue, the people won't buy it. I wonder how long he could last as leader, if things start going south for him.

I used to think of hydroelectric power as a sure reliable thing. It didn’t occur to me to take into consideration the possibility of the river powering it evaporating away the river powering it. That said, even if you have a heat wave, that shouldn’t be enough to dry up an entire river of this size. Something behind the scenes has exacerbated this.

The West has shot its own feet over this - they became dependent upon Chinese production for goods. The West once made their own goods but China was seen as cheaper and so work was given to China. Now in the West we cannot get goods - even basic manufacturing components are in very short supply. Assembly plants in the West are almost at a standstill as they wait for parts to complete tasks. The shortages are in every sector. Western leaders have no plans to re-introduce parts manufacturing back in their own countries and it is starting to turn civilisation backwards. The West is now headed backwards.

Late summer /fall river turn into creek. To make electricity is bonus when there is enough flow of water. Today all dams are fill up with sediment and needed dredge boats and thousand tons hall and dump miles away to use diesel fuel , whole benefit renewable hydro energy turn into lost.

Sucks that it ended up like 12 inches of rain total if you combine all the days it rained. Only certain areas flooded allot of places didn't and it was mainly places that couldn't get rid of the water fast enough. It usually rains allot in the summer in Texas with maybe only a few weeks of temps going over one hundred degrees. This was not a normal summer.

Something to consider - Recessions, depressions, and other economic maladies often seem to occur immediately prior to wars or major conflicts. Each country's military industrial complex stands to benefit from arms sales and this alone might be enough wealth generation to turn an economy around. In other words, war can be profitable and might be seen as a way out of an economic decline for some nations.

With people around the world struggling with various natural / man-made disasters - why the heck would governments venture into war? They should just focus on their economy and well being of their people and have growth as their target - instead of using war as distraction mechanism to power their agenda. Just wonder how much resources / money a country puts into their military expenses and think how good it would be for countries to be allies and involved in mutual growth. Countries can grow together instead of looking to annex other land's territories, grabbing their resources and venturing into wars.
