Just to let you know at the end of each credits clip is a cipher to solve and the key is somewhere in the episode. Also some lines or things brought up in episodes come back into play later on.

One of the things I appreciate about this series is that every character has at least one character trait/flaw that could be really annoying, and yet they're still likable characters. And over the course of the show most of those characters actually acknowledge their character flaws and make an effort to address them. Somehow despite the all the completely bonkers over the top stuff going on, the characters end up feeling pretty authentic.

This show is loved by kids, teens and adults! I'm a big Kristen Schaal fan. These eps aired on regular old Disney when new but now they're on XD. I know Alex wasn't allowed to do every little thing he wanted but it's so good.

You should keep an eye on the decoded message in the credits. It’s a cipher when using the correct system shows a message. I’m glad you guys are watching gravity falls, it’s one of my favorite shows growing up. You will love this show through and through.

For those who don’t know this is not the first time Disney made a show that’s a blend of the adult and kid watch involving the paranormal. If anyone recalls in the late 90s there was a show called So Weird on Disney that was a show about a young girl on the road with her rock star mom who stumbles upon the supernatural in towns she visits. The show displays some mature themes involving loss and handling grief. It’s was a show long forgotten. Even myself had almost forgotten since I watched when I was around 4 but I remember some glimpse and it took me forever to try and find it again until I hear that the show was now on Disney +.

Alex hursh(tye director) wrote season one and added a couple hints toward the lore of the show but kept it relatively a safe kids show. Then Disney told him he could do whatever he wanted for season 2 so he went all out creating a chaotic story full of mysteries making the show a bit more dramatic
