I like the idea of there being a separate reality for every episode of Gravity Falls if the twins just straight up died. That's sort of funny in a morbid kind of way, because now rewatching the show all I'll be thinking about is just "wow, they were closer to death than I thought"

I kinda hope THAT is the series we get if we do get another Gravity Falls series. Basically that Marvel What If series they did. Each episode being exactly like the original episodes, but reanimated with subtle changes, like for example Stan actually NEEDING an eyepatch and not faking it. Or a different cane, etc. With the theme song being either a darker tone, or slower and sadder, etc. Maybe parts of it play in reverse, some scenes mirrored. Possibly some scenes being seen through broken glass, etc. Possibly with reflections of bill strewn about, and of course his Laugh playing at the end. None of these episodes would have a happy ending obviously. Even the Non pines focused ones wouldn't have a good one, like Soos and the real girl ends up with Soos being sealed into the game and possibly Giffany implied to KILLING Melody. Yep darker as a whole. BUT after watching all the bad endings, we'd see the alternative to the final episode that also shows a fulfilling alternative to Weirdmaggeddon at the end that shows the Zodiac WORKING. Unlike the canon ending though, the AXOLOTL chant never even happens and Bill just gets destroyed. No going to therapy just.. POOF, gone, dusted, dead as a doornail, unalived, potatofied, etc. As well as a bad version showing Bill seeing through the trick and being all "Only sixer has six fingers" And as punishment for trying to trick him he kills the kids, or turns them into something fragile and breaks them. Or into something he holds onto WHILE entering Ford's actual mind to prevent any funny business. OR just smashes the memory gun.

I think people misinterpret that part in the book. Bill never said they only got a happy ending in one timeline he just said there are infinite timelines where they had bad endings. However with how infinite timelines typically work there are also infinite timelines where they did get their happy ending. That’s how infinite timelines work there are infinite good and bad outcomes. Bill isn’t necessarily lying but he’s leaving out important information like he tends to do because he’s a petty sore loser.

I’m guessing if they could not find waddles, they would look for a while until some sap might flood a specific area that was in the cave. The “sap” at the end is actually clay in the gift shop of horrors episode. In the clay part of it, clay figurines attempt to stuff the cast into clay to turn them into clay figurines themselves. Luckily, Mabel saves everyone by making a giant star clay monster that crushes the figurines, but soos ends up becoming a clay figure and then grunkle Stan throws a tv at his head.

From Bill's words, the world of the main GF show is now rendered to some Endless Luck Summer Timeline. Protagonists just got very fortunate every time and only survived and defeated him into one universe from all infinity...yeeah riiight. Of course, highly likely it's all lies, self-suggestion or maybe, screwed perspective of things. Probably there are a lot of awful deaths, but there are a lot of less bad timelines where Twins survived Summer, too. Or more lucky and fortunate chains of events led to even happier endings, so our ending will be seen as bittersweet

Is it just me or every bad ending was avoided for an spontaneous decision or someone's intervention? For example, McGucket saving them from the memory eraser, even as something as simple like Soos wearing Stan's hat bought them enough time to stop Gideon... Pacifica, Robie... even Waffles: people that they initially couldn't stand were key characters all allong. Like a videogame. Sometimes, the Pine twins had to make sacrifices, open their heart or listen to the right person to avoid the impending doom. What is worse is that, even after Weirdmaggedon, they still can meet a bad ending in their daily lives...

I've been digging a little in the episodes to see what I could think of and came of a few things myself too At the end talking about the unknown things like the hand in orange goop and Mabel with the monsterly eyes, I've been thinking - the hand goop thing COULD reference to that Claymation episode where they almost turned to clay? But looking at the orange/red... I thought it could be "the twins remaining stuck down underground" in the dinosaur episode they had to save the pig and got stuck in the melting resin the dinosaurs were trapped in - Mabel with the monsterly eyes, I love to believe that its the shapeshifting monster... possibly in an end where Dipper accidentally hurt Wendy instead of the monster and manage to escape taken Mabels shape

Other possible stuff I might think could be a possibility of what happened as well; - Dipper stuck in time... might not be of the machine overheating (since they only ended up in a toilet), but connected to the game they played against Blendin Blandin (the time traveller). Maybe instead, "he beat the twins and won the wish", and choosing the Fate of the loosers he wished upon them to "never be born/be stuck in time" which is Dipper case right now - I don't think Dipper ever had a chance to win against that arcade dude and become like that... maybe it could have been connected to the episode of Soos and that dating sim girl GIFfany who wanted to digitalize him into her game. Maybe it's like the bad ending "where Soos accepted, and GIFfany took the twins with them to make Soos happy"

Kinda hope we get another series where ALL the episodes from the original series are remade with bad differences. Basically all the bad ending variants. First episode has Mabel become gnome queen, possibly there is just no Leaf Blower. OR Dipper confronted the gnomes in private before telling mabel his theory and they PUSHED him into the bottomless pit. Thus Mabel had no one to help her avoid the fate. I choose the second option because darker. Opening being jumbled, seen through broken glass, having bill's laugh at the end, etc.

the one with dipper in mindscape is most likely what happens after bill destroyed the journal in the book of bill, Bill states that after he burned the journal, he would destroy dippers body by jumping off the water tower and framing it as a suicide with the others just assuming dipper had lost his mind, then after that he would ask mabel if she wanted to be with dipper. the "Sap" is actually peanut brittle from the episode were the twins meet gravity falls president. i imagine that had mabel not taken a bite of the presidents peanut brittle casing then instead of just being sent home they likely end up getting sealed in peanut brittle too just like the president, its also possible that the sap is related to the dinosaur cave because that episode was pretty intense and the dinosaurs were also encased in sap.

Here’s a couple of other bad end universe Pine Twins versions I thought of -The Shapeshifter pretending to be either Dipper or Mabel after escaping the bunker -Lost Globnar, maybe got sent to time prison as part of Blendin deciding their fate -Brainless Dipper, got his brain eaten by the Dungeons Dungeons and More Dungeons monsters -Spiderweb Mummies, got caught by that spider lady from Roadside Attraction -Stuck in that pinball machine or turned into clay monsters (debatably canon stories) -Mabel staying Ugly after bill made her so during Dreamscaperers -Failing to escape Mabel’s Bubble -Turned into Banners alongside their friends during Weirdmageddon And this one is definitely too dark, but the Lilliputians wanted to cut Mabel open for that sticker…

Honestly, the worst one is where Mabel overdosed on sugar. Like we see that it’s actually drugs and dipper kinda plays it off as Mable being goofy. It’s accurate to what a kid would see that as but at least some of the teens should’ve stepped in like Wendy when they saw how she was having a seizure.

Two observations: 1. The fact that these “alternate failures” are holding up the twins on the bus seems to indicate that OUR Dipper and Mabel’s success resulted in the failure of their alternate versions… In a sense, every time _they_ succeeded, another version of them was doomed to fail, which is an extremely morbid train of thought 2. There is likely a version of the twins that were wiped from existence if Blendin won the future gladiator contest
