Yeah they are similar in that they are made from acrylic but I think both offer slightly different shapes and options.

I've always been a fan of Sharkfin picks myself. They give you all sorts of options on one pick thanks to the shape giving a variety of picking surfaces.

It is yeah, there is some wear for sure, but seeing as it's a $25 pick I'm glad it's had the longevity and you're pretty careful about losing such a pick ;)

How smooth are they to the touch though? I don't typically like acrylic because they're too smooth and end up really slippery in sweaty fingers. That's why I go for tortex all the way, they're durable and hold well in the fingers. I wonder if the wavy pattern provides extra grip...

Jean-Loup Rebours-Smith yeah but tortex has very poor dynamic

They are pretty smooth but finger heat tends to hold them in place IME, though I don't sweat as much as I used to when younger. The Wave picks definitely has extra grip with the grip pattern. FWIW I used to play Tortex picks before Ultex but they never lasted long enough for me. BTW You can check the picks out next lesson :)

I've been using the same Jim Dunlop 1.0mm (blue) pick since I was 16. I'm now 30 and only use heavy gauge acoustic strings lol. It's deff not what it once was but running it across the carpet keeps it sharp. I'm not a shredder just mostly chords and power chords with a few blues leads here and there

Cool video on the picks, but is that a THD hot plate attenuator behind you on your amp? Have you considered doing a video on those? I've always thought about getting one but don't really know all the ins and outs of attenuator...

So would you recommend buying one over my Tortex 1.14? You know how us guitarists love our new toys....even the little ones.

Gravity Picks are very cool. As a limited time offer, the guy sent free samples to everyone in seymour duncan user group forums who sent him a private message. Mini was my favorite.

Hello! You say you've been playing the Red Bear pick for over a year, is that the same pick? That would be pretty impressive!

I´m using a tortex sharp 1.5mm at the moment. Are there any gravity picks that would be close or similar to this?
@mastertheguitar

Mika Tarkela Used to play Tortex picks a good while ago, great picks. The Razer pick from Gravity is pretty similar in shape, check out the website for the various custom options.
