Nikai and Silas are captive-born gray wolves who resides at the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC), a 501c3 non-profit organization, in South Salem, NY. As Ambassador wolves, Nikai and Silas help teach the public about wolves and their vital role in the environment.

I love to hear 🐺 howling and I believe there are different variations of them from one say gray 🐺 to black 🐺 and so on! Regardless they all definitely understand each other! They'll always be wild, but that's just fine to me! When they speak listen! I know coywolves are unique as they're a mixed breed and tend to like to be alone! 😂❤

Wolves howl as a form of communication to let other wolves or packs know that they are nearby. It also strengthens the bond between their own pack.
