I think focusing on bug fixes and optimization is the best route they could be taking for these updates. There should be nothing but that for the first few updates. I would also love to see some new clothing/armor/weapons and whatnot, but I'd take them fixing stuff over that.

Just curious, have you looked into updating your BIOS? There's a specific problem right now with 13th/14th gen Intel CPU's cooking because the motherboard vendors gave it unlimited power draw. There's a fix if you haven't, but that might be what's making your CPU cook when you play this game. Not trying to say anything like "hAhA aMd iS SoOoOoOo mUcH bEtTeR!!!1!11!1!1" I just tested for about 20 minutes running around the base and taking helicopter flights on my 5800X 3D and I didn't even see temperatures of 70c. I saw 69c max and my CPU was at 100% the entire time. I definitely agree the game needs optimization btw, I have a RTX 3090 paired with this CPU and I barely get 80 - 90 fps, sometimes even barely less than 60. It definitely needs some patches and updates fast. Best way to make money for me is running the villas in MS. You usually get an M2 rig (III+), at least one helmet (IIIa+), often times a 4-slot belt, 1-4 decently modded guns with optics that include the ELCAN Spectre, which is my favorite for PvP and 2 safes with 5-8k in total. And that´s before you hit the main Resort with the boss with his juicy modded CQA1 with 20" barrel, RC-1 suppressor, Vudu 3,5-18x and M855A1 ammo. I do this almost every day as a warm-up run and I`m swimming in decent gear and money. Getting the keys to do so is a pain in the butt indeed, but there are some really decent trading discords with good people willing to help out.

That's great, truly. Others aren't so lucky though. Many with 13th and 14th gen are struggling with temps. Even some 5800x3D users, as well as some 7800x3D. It seems, of course, if you've pumped hundreds of dollars into cooling, you're fine. But if you're using the recommended cooler for you setup, not necessarily top of the line, but works for literally every other game but GZW, then you're not fine.

I have a steelseries and am able to map keys to my mouse buttons. I have M, I, and H mapped to thumb buttons. Not sure if there's a third party app that will do this too, but I'd look into it as a possibility. You could also find a USB foot pedal online and map keys to that as another option. I use one for push-to-talk in FPS games.

Something they should think about adding is zone control for factions. Make it so there are intermediate LZ’s that are somewhat far from the area of interest but closer than the main base. These LZ’s can be controlled by factions. Have these areas be on a timer or require certain actions to take over. This would help in the gameplay loop. And it would help with things like LZ camping cus flying from Crimson to Ban Pa for almost 10 min just to die at the helo drop off sucks.

@@orthodoxx8760 more likely to build a proper BIOS setting - flash bios at first with fixed setups........ oh yes -limits means less overclocking for your already overclocked 13 14 gen CPUS :-D ...... this GZW issue is linked to quite large problem with Motherboard manufacturers with unlimited pumped hight autosetings in default (this issue escalated with large unstabilities on 14gen i9/s)..... GZW is CPU bound game, so its pretty reasonable it takes so many resourcess..... should be optimised, but in primary, its user fault that hes willing to let the CPU raise so high......

In FN and AI needs to be seriously strengthened, now its a solo stomp. In ms slightly strengthened... Easily to the level of tiger bay tbh... Just without wallhacks thats all... This game is mainly pve with random pvp encounters and to make this work AI has to be challenging AF like in RainbowSix and stuff... Not stupid scavs in Tarkov... They should bang you on sight if too close and you didnt scan your surroundings instead of "oh im here, I see you and will shot in 3-4sec!" If from afar then call reinforcements, go investigate and bang in sight...

Same here. The highest my 7800x3D has gotten to is about 87c on a spike. It's usually right around 70c. I also keep my clock dialed down as it helps with stability in most games I play. I do have a 7900xtx and it definitely isn't using the card like it should. Most early access games I've played don't resolve the optimization for the first few patches. It's a lot more time consuming than minor bug fixes that will improve the QOL of current players. The reality is that they have a test audience now and a very small team of developers. I would imagine they'll tackle bug fixes and glitches that are being exploited before we see bigger issues resolved. It doesn't mean they aren't working on it, but I would imagine their backlog is insane right now and being able to knock out a lot of little things will free them up to tackle the bigger problems.

I completely agree. My issue isn't that I don't think their working on it. I just have a problem with them not really.. addressing it. If it's not something that has a fix coming in patch 1, they should definitely take to Twitter, Reddit, make a KZbin video, all of the above, and actually let us know that their working on it, give us some data on what's happening and maybe an ETA if they can. I only say that because of how BIG of a problem it's been since the game released into EA. It sounds "entitled", but honestly, they have players who can't play the game that are running hardware that absolutely SHOULD be able to play the game.

AI will hip fire 3 round burst with a bare bones AK at 250 meters while moving and behind so many bushes with no clear sight on you and land all 3 shots. There’s no way they use proper projectile mechanics with recoil. I’m 100% AI use an RNG mechanic for hitting their shots that scales with the tier of difficulty of the zone they’re in.

the temp thing isnt strictly an intel issue, I have a 5800x3d and it was sending my temps up 90 degrees in the chopper, which is the cook range for my cpu. no other game makes my temps go anywhere close to that.

Ya Intel is overclocking my i9 13900k out of the box and my Asus Mobo is overwriting the voltage safety parameters so I had to do exactly what you said. It's complete BS but it's forced me to learn alot about my CPU and adjusting voltages. But as for cooling. My system is A1. It's 100% on Intel and Asus

Fucking 4000w!!!!!! This causes the CPU to pull around 500w at peak. Took me playing grey zone to realize I was having issues. This game may have saved the longevity of my CPU man. I was sure I fucked up building my PC till I dove into the bios and the root cause of the issue. Smh

@@TootenTV Let me give you the reason. Optimising a game which is 20% feature complete doesn't make any sense at all. Starting to optimise that early just creates an endless loop endlessly optimisng. It doesn't make sense from a business standpoint and it doesn't make sense if you want to release a game within a reasonable amount of time. I know it is very easy to look at these things from a gamers perspective but once you start looking from the developers perspective it become very easy to see why optimisation is never ever 1st on the list of things to do.

If the game is running fine that is their job done, It is not the game developers job to fix Temperatures in Certain CPUs, they have no way to tell why CPUs are getting hot as that is not what game devs do (I am a Game Dev btw). Check the CPU Cooler, it might be clogged with dust or install a better one

@@TootenTV I agree, I have the processor normally at 75 - 80 percent usage in this game, and then without anything different happening, I have 100 percent peaks that can last from a few seconds to more than a minute, and the usage of my GPU plummets, and also My CPU goes over 90 degrees. ps: the game never uses my GPU at 100 percent like most other video games

You most likely haven't updated your bios to fix the issue of intel motherboards running way too high settings. And you most like don't have the best airflow in your case. Bro I'm so tired of people bitching about the AI. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the AI. It's server lag, shit shot placement and wrong ammo type issues. The AI on a smooth server with proper ammo and good shot placements go down no issues. The AI aren't overly hard and not overly easy. Yall need to realize once they start fuckin with the AI cuz everyone keeps crying about them that's when the game goes down hill, the games going too get tooo easy then. Let them get the servers and optimization down first, then supporters should reevaluate the AI. In the mean time, read the ranger hand book. Work on your breaking contact, do battle drills out of the habdbook with your squad and shoot better. This isnt cod. Learn how to play it more tactically. Ypu arent supposed to just fly through OBJ's. Do some recon first then come up with a game plan. Promise you, the game becomes so much better when you do that.

The processor issue isn't a Gray Zone issue. It happens in other UE 5 games. I worked with my buddy changed a couple bios settings and was able to get his temps from going to 100 c to down to like 70-80 on the heli. It is a poor design by intel and happens in other games and there is tutorials out there if you do a quick google search.

I’ve seen this take over and over again. Do you experience this problem, or rather does your buddy, on any other game? No? Do you have to change your BIOS because of any other game? No? It’s a problem with their Skalla tech and it’s amplifying the problem with the Intel and some AMD processors. A major problem is the fact it’s utilizing the CPU more than the GPU. Your CPU ends up at 100%, while your GPU sits at 35-40% usage. It’s a problem with the game, that is amplifying a problem with certain CPUs. And at this point, it is on the devs to fix the problem on their end.

If any game anywhere on earth can get your PC above 80c, you sir have serious cpu cooling issues and need to look in to it . That has absolutely nothing to do with efficiency. I run 3 different builds from ultra high end to medium high end. In 30 years of gaming I have never seen any PC get above 75c on any GPU or CPU in existence without actual hardware cooling problems. Let me as a professional make it very clear as you have some very bad information and due to that make very wrong statements. CPU at 100C is 100% a computer issue not an issue with the game. You just don't have a good cooling setup. My cpu with Gray Zone Warfare does not even reach 60 C. Make sure when you run intel you run the latest bios updates as EVERY single board out on the market is basically frying your cpu by using too high default settings out of the box. Yes you will lose on performance quite a bit doing that, +/- 10% performance drop. Seeing what you are saying in your video i'm pretty confident you haven't updated your bios yet as you do not seem to know about the issues with intel cpu's atm. So that should be your step 1. Next check your cooling solution. Are fans flowing the right direction? Do you create any kind of airflow in your case? Is something blocking your airflow in your case? In case of watercooling check if there's something wrong with your loop or AIO unit.

Enemies don't care if you're wearing III+ armor and a helmet, they will one-tap you (often through a bush at 200 meters) There is zero reason any enemy (even if all my rounds hit their vest) to survive 15-30 rounds of 5.56 and remain standing like nothing happened. Enemies without armor still tank 10 shots of rifle bullets, and a whole 27 round mag of 9mm. Yeah I get that I could aim for the head, but even that doesn't work sometimes and they straight up eat the bullet.

If you played ArmA Exile then these AI arent too bad. 800m the AI would open fire on you, Tiger bay is rough but today I took out atleast 40 AI with just a mosin solo on loke my 4th try ever. It’s achievable. Takes a long time but achievable. Somethings are ment to be end game and takes alot of time to learn and master.

your personal opinion is absolutely irelevant to thing about temperatures.... At first, fix your limits to your procesor in bios at first, and secondary, 100C will not burn your CPU..... it will reduce its lifespan only, from 15 years to 14years (aprox).... you will fry your CPU from bad settings you have in your bios...... which is not primary your fault, but you probably heard something about INTEL issue and mainboard manufatcturers and thair default settings... So at primary, dont push on game developer, hes not responsible for your hardware, its your Bios settings. And question- how many EA titles you playd? Because technically, this EA launch is pretty FAIL in many ways.... Basic mechanics like HIT registration is simply not working properly..... You are quite hyped and willing to be blind a bit ;-)

I'm gonna copy and paste, because this absolutely horrendous take has been spotted a couple of times here. I know it's a waste of time to try and reason with people who obviously don't want to be reasoned with, but here's my 16th response to this take. Have you seen anyone else experience a problem like this on any other optimized game? No? Do you have to change your BIOS because of any other game? No? It’s a problem with their Skalla tech and it’s amplifying the problem with the Intel and some AMD processors. A major problem is the fact it’s utilizing the CPU more than the GPU. Your CPU ends up at 100%, while your GPU sits at 35-40% usage. It’s a problem with the game, that is amplifying a problem with certain CPUs. And at this point, it is on the devs to fix the problem on their end. Regardless of whether you SHOULD change your BIOS settings, undervolt your CPU, whatever. A game should not FORCE you to, to avoid destruction of your hardware. That is an absolute caveman brain take.

@@TootenTV :-D problem is , your CPU is runnig on settings not officially set by Intel :-D You are simply lazy uninformed guy, running your rig on overclocked UNLIMITED state and bulshiting an software which is using resources you are willing to give by your lazyness and ignorance :-D :-D.... maybe after all, dont buy an intel next time, and buy an AMD ;-) .... Set your BIOS setting according intel specifications instead of AUTO and stop bulshiting another softwares you are using on such extreme OC parameters.

I'm running 120+ fps on high settings with frame gen and DLSS turned on. It was also BAKING my PC, running, as I said in the video, at 100c on the heli and 85-95c in most other places. I also get 40-60fps in the middle of Tiger Bay. Yes I'm complaining about optimization. Not just for myself, but for the entire community. Also, for reference, RTX 4080, I7-14700k, 32gb DDR5 ram.
