It makes me think of a friend I had a while back. I have an autoimmune illness and was explaining how it can start attacking my organs and that if it focuses too much on certain ones, it could possibly kill me. There’s a lot of people who die this way, but not many people technically die from this illness. It’s because the organ failure would kill me, it would be considered either organ failure or complications of my illness, not my illness, as my cause of death. He was listening, but was very concerned. He, very sweetly, asked if I could not just have a transplant, if I knew someone willing to do it, if they matched me. He listed a few of the organs I’d talked about, including a few you need to live. It provided some levity, anyway. “Umm, technically, sure, but I can only get a transplant of that from someone who’s already dead and doesn’t need it anymore. You... that’s one of the ones you need to hang on to.” I don’t think it had occurred to him, since his face dropped. “Oh.” 😅 So definitely it could be a back alley organ-stealing situation, but it could maybe be short-sighted loyalty and friendship. 😅

For the "attacked by clothesline" one, I imagine it being like that Ghost Ship wire that sliced to death everyone dancing on deck except the child who was too short to be in the path of it. Something happened and the clothesline went flying, and that poor sucker was in the way and never stood a chance, I guess.
