I received my GR-B100 today. I must say this video is extremely helpful. Casio does not really tell you how to do any of this on their folded paper instruction manual. All the Watch Geek videos are exceptionally good.

Just picked this one up, on sale which is always a bonus. Thanks for this video. Very helpful! The only issue for me with this watch. I was not aware how long it took to charge from medium to full charge. I thought something was wrong with it but after some research online I found it does take sometime especially if it is a new solar gshock. I left the watch for about 7 hours on the window sill when I was work and it did not move from the medium indicator, What?? (Winter months sunshine) Anyway this weekend both days were very sunny and today I was able to bring the charge to about 90% in direct sunlight. The indicator now reads almost full. (Whew!😁) Thanks again for this video.

Great vid, thanks. I'm impressed with this watch and just ordered a blue GRB100 a couple of hours ago, looking forward to receiving it. My Datejust stopped running a couple of days ago. I was going to send it to a RSC, but I don't want to shell out the $600 minimum it'll cost to have it serviced at this time. I'm going to put it in my safe and forgot about it for a few months.

@@raksh9 I was going to take the DJ in earlier this year, then everything went belly up with C-19. It's still in my safe. I ended up returning the GRB. It was a great timekeeper, but it wasn't the watch for me.

Would love if you could explain the way to use it for interval training. As you say in the video. I guess it is you preset the five alarms with small offsets and then you change the time of the watch manually to match to the beginning of the interval training. But curious on how you would do it. Hello, a question, about my watch, just like this one, the analog hands do not allow me to calibrate them, they do not move, it does not mark the hour, the second hand is the only one that works, the minute and hour hand does not, and when I try to calibrate, I only have the second hand, and the little one that sets the alarm, but not the minutes and hours. *_I’ve had issues with one of this model’s hands being misaligned. I don’t know why but I have had that issue. I wish this module had the Tough Movement feature which automatically checks to see if the hands are aligned every hour. I know that feature is available on a few Casio pure analogs & ana-digis such as the GWA-1000, GW-3000, the GPW-1000, PRW-6000 and the MTG-1500. But all of those models also have the Wave Ceptor feature along with Tough Solar as well._* *_A cool thing about the alarms going back to 1900 is to track days. I’ve set one of my alarms on my actual birthdate. Every so often I go and check my redacted Born on Date alarm to see how many days I’ve been alive. 🤔😏_*

Hi, brilliant tutorial. I just want to ask about the Find Me function. I find I have to connect to the app via Bluetooth for the option to work. It also does work when you disconnect from the app but keep bluetooth on but only for a certain time period. If I disconnect from the app for say 5 or 10 mins but bluetooth is still on, on my phone, the Find Me function does not work.

@@oklahomahank2378 they do not need the conection,only phone bluetooth needs to ne turned on.Works on mine,you can also change the find me ringing tone to any song in your phone.of course booth phone and the watch need to be near each other,10 meters or something,not 100 meters apart because the of bluetooth range

It is used for Bluetooth models to reset the pairing process. The factory reset for other gshocks is done using the AC reset when changing the battery

In my gravitymaster when in world time I swap the time between London and Dubai the hands go forward but when I swap them back the hands don't move back only go forward all around to London time again. On your clip the hands are moving back normally. Do you know why that happens on my watch?

I got this watch. Beautiful. Unfortunately, the statement that the watch automatically connects 4 times a day via bluetooth and the phone finder works without the app running on the foreground is a slight exaggeration. That's what it's supposed to do but in the real world this does not work. My galaxy s9 cannot be found with the finder I get error every single time. Unless the phone is close and the app is running, this doesn't work. The long press connect only connects if you run the app on the phone.... so, the bluetooth feature is only manual, and there is nothing automatic there. Yes, I did give the app permission to never sleep. The phone finder feature is useless....if I am missing anything please let me know. I was also wondering if the watch supports the multi band 6 as the backup for time adjustment in case the bluetooth stops working completely.

dont fault the app for that. a lot of phones automatically close all background apps periodically to prolong the battery life and apps like this one need to be running in the background to work. i know huawei has this feature where you can exclude apps so they dont get closed automatically by the phone. maybe samsung has that option too

On mine galaxy s7 all the features works properly until the time when I've got to restart the phone. After that all the functions works only when the phone is awake, so I have to delete all data and pair the watch again. Everything's working properly again until the next restart... I've been told that is Samsung fault and the app works normal on other brands. Not worth it to change a phone just for a watch though.

As i said i gave the permission to Casio app to run at all times so that was not an issue. I might have gotten a lemon because my battery wouldn't hold the charge either. I ended up returning this watch and got the square g shock king instead. Love it!

I really like the alarm settings! I have an old g7700 that allows you to set alarm as daily, weekday and weekend, and also the hour signal can be set for day an between specific hours...I mis this settings in the new watch of Casio

For a full charge this watch needs a few weeks !leave it next to the window.you ll see the baterry level changing.if takes time.because this batery lasts long .therefore charg not in 2 hours or days... talking about fake .i dont think they made this model fake .not that i saw..

It can happen when there is a lot of moisture in the production facility. You can solve it by opening the watch and blowing inside with warm hair dryer and after that grease the gasket and close it up, it shouldn't happen after that anymore

In case any users don’t know this, there is no daylight savings time for UTC. If you try to set Auto DST for UTC the watch will ignore your efforts.

Nice tutorial, like usually. Soon I will buy one. The display is unique, for sure: when looking at all G watches on the shelf, it is the only one that you can read from distance. I looked for all other G models and none of them comes with such a display. I really like that the alarm has so many options (comparing to other watches). However, there is one thing that is missing and could have made the alarm usable for real in daily life: setting the alarm only for workdays :( I wonder if these kind of watches could get a firmware update...
