2.5 minutes in and I've already found my newest favourite feature. Probably the nichest of niches ever, but still quite cool!

Thank you! Glad you liked it :) Yeah, I wanted to leave in those little mistakes I run into. I always find them helpful when I'm watching tutorials as well!

I made it all the way through the end but my top cast modifiers don't work as well my bottom modifiers, I had to alter the values for the cast modifiers (factor and radius) in addition to the X:scale of the empty blink controller. I'll tinker and play around with it for a while. I'm using Blender 2.92, this is wizardry and fun to explore.

Make sure to re-watching the tutorial, I'm sure you will find your tiny miss-out there😊 I'm using the same version2.92 and it's working totally fine.

@@knightguy2699 I already tried a second viewing - time to try 3 or 4 times. Intriguing stuff.

@Level Pixel Level In Blender 3.1.0 we can add two lattices to a single grease pencil object.

13:15 - Mind blown. Where was that on the user manual? Not a page about it. Thanks for this awesome tip.

Right! Took me a while to figure that one out :)

4:56 after I change radius the Empty stops affecting the lattice, please save. I did everything as you said
@LevelPixelLevel5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it will appear that way at first, but you have to continue with the other settings, like the factor. Then you will have to scale up the empty 5:47 to about 200, 200, 5 for the axis. Let me know if this works, if not I'll prepare some files.
@MarvinVolkery4 жыл бұрын
I have scaled it to 200 200 and 5 but my eyes dont close the go to down on the z axis and are not full close
@MarvinVolkery4 жыл бұрын

You mean for the thickness of the line edge? Make sure the strength is also set to 1.0

After render my 3d object with these eyes (made by grease pencil), my model is OK but eyes is too much overpixalete. Circle looks more like square :D i renering in 1920x1080. In 4K looks like its better but you know.... 4x more rendering time bcs that? not sure that this is righ way to solve it :D can someone help with this render problem?

Hello, nice video. I have a question about applying modifiers. Sometimes when I apply them it removes the effect all together. Any advice on this.
@LevelPixelLevel5 жыл бұрын
Hey, if you want to apply this but if you want to apply the modifier and keep it make a copy first, then apply it.

Can I ask, do you think this works on eyes that are a bit more complex, or do you think it’s best for more simple eyes like these here?
@LevelPixelLevel5 жыл бұрын
Maybe, I guess I depends on the eye shape. Complex eyes might be able to use a couple of these techniques. I'll be covering that in detail in the next video!

Either rolling it to change the axis was a bug, they changed the feature or I’m doing something wrong. Whenever I change the roll the bones rolls with it, but the axis and the movement on the graph stays the same (up is + and down is -) anybody have ideas why this happens?
@LevelPixelLevel4 жыл бұрын
Make sure you are in edit mode when adjusting these values. If not try the set bone roll menu: docs.blender.org/manual/fr/dev/animation/armatures/bones/editing/bone_roll.html#recalculate-bone-roll Then, check out the example files if this is still broken.

I have been divided about this workflow since seeing this. Maybe its possible to use less objects and lighten up rigs I'm sure you have seen this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGOyp4Oei6tlpdk
@LevelPixelLevel5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I saw that work flow, it is great! These rigs are more in line with a Toon Boom Harmony rig. There are other ways to rig this though, and these only expose the tools in the pose panel to a 2D artist.
