This video has been very helpful! Just one question.... did you drill a 1" hole for the cable??? Instructions call for a 1" but that seems rather big to me. I'm currently installing this and really want to do a smaller hole if I can

Hey man does the shifter have a neutral lockout feature? Something that allows it to make sure you don’t go into neutral from drive with you’re foot floored on the pedal? Thanks!
@GreaserthoughtsGarage3 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t have a neutral lock out it does have a reverse lockout

Colby, I didn't like that about this shifter and the TCI Outlaw, so I made an upgraded detent plate to convert it to the True Slap shifter design, which I have a patent for. I originally made this design for my factory horseshoe shifter in my '70 Monte Carlo SS454. I can slap it forward for the 1-2 shift and it hits a stop at 2. I can simply slap it again for the 2-3 shift and hit another stop at 3. There's no need to squeeze the trigger at all for either shift. It cannot be shifted from 3rd to Neutral without squeezing the trigger. Another issue with the B&M Pro Stick and the original detent plate is that you can accidentally shift from 2-N if you don't squeeze the trigger completely before shoving forward. I've used this same design to convert a number of factory GM shifters and I have KZbin videos for each. I think you'll like this one. It fits the Pro Stick and the TCI Outlaw: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKaxgKuKmd6LnJI

I have the same shift and transmission but when I want to go 1st gear it does 2nd and when I want to go 2nd gear it goes to drive. Maybe instillation wasn’t done right ?
@GreaserthoughtsGarage Жыл бұрын
Yeah doesn’t sound like the cable is adjust properly or you have the wrong plate installed in the shifter

Do you have to pull the trigger when shifting from 2nd to 3rd?

Yes

Here's my upgrade to eliminate the trigger pull for the 2-3 shift. Mine also now has neutral lockout. I think you'll like this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKaxgKuKmd6LnJI

Do you have to install a manual valve body to use this shifter or do you only have to run the cable to the existing shift linkage and it works
@GreaserthoughtsGarage3 жыл бұрын
No it’s just a shifter linkage works

Are you going to remove the column shifter or would the collar just slide around?
@GreaserthoughtsGarage3 жыл бұрын
2 options replace the shifter or replace the collar to a floor shift

I’ll probably just take the old shifter off for now and replace the column eventually
