Its great to revisit albums you haven't listen too for ages! When I was teenager in the 70's and was just starting to discover albums of the day I would go back to them more frequently because I only had a few then as you discover more artists you find you have hundreds too choose from ...I often imagine what if you decided to only keep ten of your favourite artists in your collection who might you choose? 🤔 Best Wishes

I've always considered 'Trespass' as good as the other Gabriel-era Genesis albums. It generally gets a lower rating from reviewers mainly because Collins and Hackett aren't on it. But this is not a minus in my opinion. Gabriel's young voice is exceptional on this album. Cheers.

Hey I listened to Macca 3 yesterday and came to the same conclusion, love Kiss of Venus, such great innovation and melody.

The Byrds were great Larry and the Beatles favorite band,I loved their jangly twelve string guitars on their early records,I remember as a kid at a friends birthday party ignoring everybody else and sitting by the radio amazed listening to Turn,Turn,Turn,I absolutely loved them. Bob

Sparks in Outer Space is a masterpiece, glad you got a chance to double back. I had a similar process with Terminal Jive, listened to it a few times and filed it away for several years. Once I got the album back in rotation it became my all time favorite. It’s really cool, and rare, to run across someone as into Sparks as I am, you have excellent taste my friend!

I have my list of CD I need to get, but I also have a list of my CDs I need to play again! When you have over 500 of them, it's difficult to get to them all!

One album I ignored but recently gave another chance to was ‘Canned Wheat’. First few times I thought it was considerably weaker than the albums that preceded and succeeded it, but now I like it a lot. I think the inferior production used to get in the way of me enjoying it. Production aside, the songs are really good and it might be their most cohesive album in terms of structure. I love all the short instrumental interludes at the beginning/end of the songs. It’s something that wasn’t very common back in 1969. Underrated album if you ask me.

Larry - enjoyed your discussion today. Lots of variety to be sure with so much talent. I love blowing the dust off of some of my older lps. Nice Joe Cocker choice. My fave from him is Mad Dogs And Englishmen. Cheers Brian

Some great albums in there. I’m a bit like that with Tresspass and I’m now simply going to have to play Rock Drill as I haven’t heard that for a couple of years. A case I point. All the best. Dave✅✅

Good choices. Thanks for promoting Three Dog Night. They always get a bum rap because they weren't songwriters. But man could they sing. They are interpreters of songs like many singers before them. I love their version of Your Song. And a fantastic set of musicians backing them up.Floyd Sneed is one of my favorite drummers.

I’m new to the Yes train so I’m just curious is there something wrong with Union? I remember listening to Shock to the System and remember it being nice but never explored the full record.

Hi Larry I have a lot of appreciation for those Edgar Winter albums later those guys all became Rock Stars with there own projects. That was the first band I saw live it was fantastic the highlight of the show was Frankenstein all you could see was colored lights, smoke, strobe lights. I saw the show again when shock treatment came out. Its too bad they didn't make a live album from some of those shows.

It's a prerequisite that any Sparks fan has an eclectic taste in music, covering a wide range of genres. Apart from jazz. Good shout re The Undertones. Feargal Sharkey is prominent again as an activist here in the UK, campaigning against the shocking state of England's water supply and treatment.

McCartney III is great. I'd add Deep Deep Feeling, such a solid and eerie track. Then, even if I just finished Tales from Topographic Oceans (that was a real long journey), I'm looking forward to give a chance to the Yes albums from the nineties, at least until Magnification, where Jon Anderson left the band
