world4saker Well thank goodness she was only making it for herself, and possibly showing others who'd want to make this at home for themselves and family and friends, rather than for customers, right? Based on her hmmmms it seemed to be very edible so maybe your customers just have different tastes.

@barbara gill I don't believe in eating a steak Well done and cooking prime rib or tenderloin to well ruins it but I'm willing to make it how a person wants it. I base it on the cut of meat as to how well I cook it. To each his own but if I pay $20 for a steak it better be the way I want it or it will go back. They don't have pros working the kitchen in these places and it isn't hard to learn to cook a steak but it's easy to fuck up if you don't know how.

@@dontdiscriminatehateeveryo9263 you're right there. It's usually strip steak as well which isn't even a very good cut. You can always find ribeye on sale at your local supermarket. Butter, garlic, thyme and a skillet will give you a delicious steak meal for 2 for 20. Way better than applebee's 6 oz steak...cooking steak dinners at home changed my life! I eat steak all the time now that I don't treat it like a special restaurant meal.

Just found one of these that has been sitting in the back of an old cupboard for literally over a decade, unopened. I totally forgot about it but everyone around here loves blooming onions and I've been making them by hand. This easily cuts about 30-45 minutes off the preparation process all by itself for me. Without it you get to peel all the petals apart one by one and the cuts are almost never eye candy like this even when the onion wants to cooperate.

That is a beauteous fried onion flower. I'm still working on the right ratio, and the best base ingredients, but one of my fav dipping sauces is a mix of mayo (more creamy, and not tangy), with a BBQ sauce (something without corn syrup, but still a bit sweet, along with some smokiness is good), and a smidgen of Lawry's. Are you gonna hang on to this appliance?

I live in Maryland and it’s makes me so happy to see people not from Maryland know about old bay. I was at a summer camp in southern Maryland and I was talking to this girl from South Carolina and she didn’t know what old bay was. We were absolutely astonished. And the another time when I was in a Ohio summer camp no one knew what it was lol. Makes me so happy to see people use it. I put it on literally and I mean LITERALLY like everything

As a previous long time kitchen worker at outback (and the best bloom maker at each of the outbacks i worked at), soaking the onion in cold water isnt just for helping it open, it also helps loosen it up making it easier to man handle while breading it without it break. It also helps the flour stick a little and get a better crust.

It's so good~ It's slightly sweet, tangy, creamy and it's got a kick. Louisiana hot sauce is hard to find where I live (Australia) we can only get it from one restaurant and it costs a small fortune lol. So if anyone can't find Louisiana hot sauce, any hot sauce (eg. Cholula) will work. Except Tobasco.. That didn't go well.
