As someone who owns the earlier-series version of this tv, two notes: 1. The tv and soundbar are amazing. There are times when the ethernet in the tv doesn't read, so I just have to do the old unplug/plug, but other than that it's great for the budget price. What isn't great, is Vizio's normal corporate warranty standards. We had ours plugged safely into a surge protector, lightning struck our apartment, all electronics were fine. Except for the tv. Called Vizio support, would NOT offer warrnety as it was an "Act of God". Offered a 40% coupon for a new tv. All I had to do was open the tv, find that one of the two boards in the back had a visible burn spot, find the mother board on ebay for $40!!! and then bam, replaced it, perfectly functioning tv. I know so many other companies do this whole "act of God" thing, but like, they could have at least not cancelled our request for a technician to look at it. Either way, great products, horrible customer service policies.

I love Vizio and all my old Vizio TVs, but they just don't offer the reliability past the showroom floor.
@ashs33803 жыл бұрын
I agree. Majority of panels from Vizio are from Samsung Display, yet not nearly as nice. I can't agree with their menu layout is the best. I'll still say Samsung and LG user interface is so much better. However Vizio Soundbars are great for the money. Tremendous value. But their reliability added with terrible firmware and software issues and bugs on their OS is just too much. I'd hope they switch to Roku.

@@ashs3380 I said one of the best menus. Particularly the two best things about it are the calibration sub-menu for picture calibration, and the mobile app isn't slimmed down in any way, you get full menu access (albeit the app sometimes has pairing issues). I agree Smartcast isn't great and is very clunky, but once you actually get into the apps it is fine since they're just HTML 5. The big issue with Smartcast was really lack of support by third-parties to develop on the platform. It took forever to get a lot of native apps like HBO Max, and there's still a lot of popular apps like ESPN missing.

I purchased this TV back in December 2020 at Costco for $599 delivered. Great TV. I only wish it had more HDMI ports and another Toslink port but nothing a third party switch cant handle. Which is what I did.

A few years back I bought my father a new TV as his old one gave up the ghost. He was getting old and after a stroke he had a hard time reading any text on the TV. I thought that getting a larger TV might be a good idea just so any text would be a bit bigger so I went for what I then thought was a humungous TV, a 4K TV that had a lot of the latest bells and whistles and was an amazing 50 inches! Doesn't look quite as intimidating today...
@CrashCarson143 жыл бұрын
Love my P series. Though the M series was a thought, and for the price it’s probably the best bet you can have in terms of the added gaming support. TCL is the closest match for the price. Not nearly as bright I believe.

You should do a review on the V-series instead which is still in this budget range of just a bit more than a Series X or PS5 and has 120 hz refresh instead. Plus HDR10 and 10+
@kevinrodz24593 жыл бұрын
This is not true. V series has native 60Hz panels just like M series but lacks several things for gaming like Variable Refresh Rate and the quantum colors. Don't be fooled by the Dynamic Motion Rate software thing. If you want a native 120Hz panel the minimum is the P series.
