When i was about 7 (early 1970s!) i chose to wear a suit for a wedding: it was bright orange, with flared trousers and a zip-up jacket with orange floral quilted panels. I LOVED it (and wore it all the time once the wedding was over). So i would have made an outfit inspired by that: I'm thinking mega-flared trousers, ideally in a retro '70s orange floral fabric, with a short A-line dress over. The dress would have a big visible orange zip right up the front with a big circular ring-pull, and the fabric would be in orange with some large orange flower appliques 🧡🌻

I generally wore wellies and jeans as a girl - total tomboy but I did have a ra-ra skirt so pasha's outfit really resonated with me. I also made a seersucker sundress with my mum when I was 9 for a holiday to Greece in 1982. 😅 I loved it. Xx

Often a sewer really shines through in this week but I did feel they all managed well. However Pasha's croco-gater was outstanding and was worthy of garment of the week.

I was about 5 and my sis 2 years younger. We both had pink poodle skirts and had our portraits taken in them. I would not wear one now😊

It would be lovely if you both could provide a critque of the items sewn, and of the programme in general terms, rather than saying how nice they all are. Vicki did provide a little critique of some of the judging, but please do more, especially as we are now getting to the sharp end of the competition.
