There used to be a good wildflower spot near Mogumber oval, went there in 1998 with a group of CMCA members but now the waste facility seems to have taken it over. There is another good overnight stop just south of there at the old Wannamal school site.

Love Mogumber, have stayed there many times on the way north or comming back. We have yet to see the mission in person. Have to get there one day. Good to see the Bolgart pub back in operation. I think I am right in saying it is the last of the State hotels that is still up and runnning.

In South Australia you can get a campsite literally on the river for 10 last time I checked

The campsite was $10.50 and a pub meal at a reasonable price , SA is one place I hope to get to , retirement is getting closer , cheers for watching .

We are trying to get away at the moment and are looking for somewhere in the wheatbelt to find Queen of Sheba orchids. Don't know if you have heard any romours but if you have I would love to know where they might be hiding :) We have been trying for years to film these flowers and are always in the right places at the wrong time or the other way round.

It's a shame that the amount of rubbish around is a sign of how popular a free camp is 😞 These sites are free people if you want to keep using them and avoid the cost of caravan parks then take your rubbish with you, otherwise the councils WILL close them.
