Another great video. Gummers how is deceptive but the views from the summit or near the summit are great looking onto Windermere.

yea it clearly vacuums up the crowds for the area.. brant fell next to Bowness is a view i thought would be tough to beat but this is definitely the best for Windermere.. Cheers, tek care :)

Absolutely brilliant Marra, three cracking little fells those. That made me laugh when you sat in that Cairn on Cartmell Fell, when you said it stinks of piss! 🤣🤣 Whoever owned that little wooded area certainly wants to keep people out looking at that barbed wire fence.🤣 All the best mate.

Nice enough walks those. Decent weather though the clouds were a bit low for the best views I suppose. Good to see these hills which are totally unfamiliar to me.

aye very unfamiliar however it seems gummers how is as popular as helvellyn.. i can see why, definitely the best view of Windermere, well worth a visit.. cheers, tek care :)

Yes its a shame about the 2 November but I never miss the Halloween Whitby Goth Festival now. Just as well you like dogs mind, two of them bounding over to you. That looked a good path through that woods and still unsure what you have a against woodlands....and that must have been one of Dereck's 'scenic routes', something I have experienced before, with very mixed results! Well I am looking for spongers so if anyone wants to sponsor me - feel free - I use Grisport boots by the way and had mine for 2 years and still just as good - out of the box and onto a hike too, no need to break those baby's in. Nice fell to finish on and a great view over Windermere, cheers Alan

aye I used to like woods but once yav experienced the high fells I just think about the trees blocking me.. Derek does like to find his own way, probably something ill get into eventually but for now paths are fine for me haha.. I dunno how long boots should last.. my first 2 pars of 'cheap' ones were about 8 months each but soon as I did my first walk in these Scarpas I just felt so comfortable.. Cheers lad, tek care :)

Ya didn’t fancy Birch Fell then, Marra? 😅
@daveostlemountainmanАй бұрын
I looked at it.... and I looked at it some more and then once more on the way down but couldn't see an easy path that I required.. Gives me an excuse to revisit this fell anyway.. Cheers lad, tek care :)
