I love the final scenes in this video as much as the rest of it! The sight and sound of that "Hall" racing along is enough to warm the heart of any Great Western fan! I look forward to seeing these engines with my own eyes in August 2018!

34081 looked nice out of Loughborough. And blasting under the bridge at 9:40 with that rake of freshly painted vans, very nice.

Very well shot video much enhanced because you panned round to follow the action where it was possible. Those TPO shots were stunning. Also particularly good footage of the original Bulleid accelerating along.

With hindsight, a pick up and set down system on a main line of railway was brilliant. Same goes for watertroughs. And it all had to wait until the 19th century to come to fruition. Along with Mr Faraday's generator, acrylics, definition of the atom and much more.A bit late in the day?
