This comment is completely unrelated to books, but I just have to say how amazed I am at just how much Marigold looks like your husband. I realize that he is her father, but the resemblance is so strong. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed watching a video from you. :) Happy Holidays with your loved ones!

I know it! There is NO DOUBT who her father is 😂! All my babies have come out looking like the spitting image of their dad. They start to look a little more like me as time goes on. 💗

I love all your recommendations! Great Joy by Cate di Camillo is one of my favourite Christmas children-books, I own it in my language (greek) and I read it every year to my pupils! I agree, the art in this book is stunning! I feel you with the cough! I have had one too for almost two months (the remnants of a pharyngitis)! And it isn't just me, viruses and bugs are crazy these days! I wish you to have a great New Year you and your beautiful family, happy to see you back!

Christmas actually just started on Christmas eve. I tell people Merry Christmas until, at least, the Epiphany. I read Christmas well into January so pick up one of these books people! :) So, So glad to see you back Katie. She is so cute.

You’re absolutely right!! There’s a reason it’s the TWELVE days of Christmas! I recently heard someone ask why the song says theirs twelve days. :)
@theresas7095 жыл бұрын
So many think Christmas is over as soon as they open their gifts. I have so much to do on Christmas that my husband and I save some of the gifts under the tree to open a day or two after. (I do a lot of the Christmas dinner so that takes up some time) We consider all that time a celebration and lights are on every day till mid January.

OH! I did not know this book by Kate DiCamillo! I adore her books! Every time I go to the bookstore I look to see if there's anything new. Ha, she looked SO mad! Babies are hilarious. I wish they could speak at that age. Or... maybe not. They'd probably be telling us off for one reason or another. Fox is so grown up! Hope to see Wilder at some point as well.

I have Winter Street sitting on my table right now to get to soon! Some of her books I have not liked though☹

I haven’t read any of her other books! And I’m not sure I’d like all of them either. These ones seem to work for me! 🤷🏼♀️

@@LifeBetweenWords1 Sometimes it seems like the story drags on. Right now im trying to finish Here's To Us and everyone argues throughout the book. Multiple narrators I am not always a fan of either.

Your kids have the best names! In keeping with the nature-y theme, I see? I've never known anyone named Marigold. It's so pretty!
@LifeBetweenWords15 жыл бұрын
Yes thank you so much!! They are naturey. Someone also recently told me that they all have names that sound like they’re from a fairytale. Which was just about the best compliment! 🥰

Here's another great name. Fae or Faye which means fairy in old English. It's my daughter's middle name and I wish it were her first.
