​@@444levels9 ​You know what, I've just realised you CAN use this in stereo - simply by not using the returns. So you send the bottom half of the signal to one pedal, the top half to another, and then connect those pedals directly to two amps. (I'm not sure how much real-world value this has, to be honest, but it does work.)

I don’t understand the first demo. If there’s nothing in the send/return loops, what is it doing?

It's splitting the signal into two halves, high and low. Then you can use the 'return balance' to make one half louder and the other quieter. (Then you can change the point on the frequency spectrum where the split happens, and/or put the two halves out of phase.)
