This is about the 6th time I’ve watched this video now Dave. Love watching your videos over breakfast. The feeling I get from them is fantastic. Very motivating too. Hi, yet another superb video. I'm relatively new to your channel; due to health issues I haven't been able to get out for a number of years but I am now managing to slowly pick up again. Whether I'll ever get back to my glory days is doubtful but I'm grateful for any improvement now. I asked you about your backpacking slippers a few days back and I've taken the plunge and bought a pair of those Bobby dazzlers since then. Really like them actually. Soft enough to wear inside the tent and saves having to boot up if you need to get out and irrigate the nearby flora in the night or anything. Your videos are a real inspiration and are helping to motivate me towards getting out again. Just hope we aren't heading for another bloody lockdown. Anyway all the best once again.

Glad your liking the Akto it is surprisingly wide, one thing I noticed when I got mine but the extra porch space is great in bad weather for cooking in or storing wet gear. Totally agree on the sand colour it's great and very stealth from a distance. Sadly it's a real shame seeing rubbish left like that but I've seen a lot more of it this year in the Lakes theres know excuse, you carry it in you carry it out, simple.

@@TheSoloSummiteer I just uploaded a video on the Peak Districts highest point, kinder scout, so i think very soon I am going to go for scafell pike! i would also like to try some stealth camping trips/videos closer to where I live in south london... so will visit the surrey hills very soon... in the mean time i often frequent the peak district, I have had some amazing trips there recently!

As always, great video Dave. Awesome sunset, stunning views (with a brew) all being very well captured. Some of that scrambling looked a bit sketchy, unless it was your camera making it look steeper than it was? As for the jets, they possibly could be 2 F-16's out of Lakenheath as there's a deployment based there from Italy. Yes, I'm a geek in more ways than one...😆 Keep up the good work dude 👍🙂

Fantastic Dave thats one of my favorite vids that you’ve done mate. Tell ya what you must be a fit lad carrying all that weight. up there and back. Terrible seeing all the S**t people are leaving lying around after camping. How hard is it to put it in a bag and take it home. ATB mate 👍

It was a tough one Dave for sure. I do like to push myself though (within reason). I'm paying for it today. Feel like I've been run over. Haha, all good fun though. No pain. no gain! Thanks for the kind words, Dave, really appreciated. Scum campers make me vomit. Calling them Fly Campers is way too kind.

It seems that the rubbish been left on the hills has increased compared to the past or is it because social media covers it more? I have been hiking in the Lakes since the 80s. However, I have had a break on and off for 20 years due to not living in the UK. I will be very sad to see this on my return, but maybe I'll need to carry a big bag too.
@TheSoloSummiteer4 жыл бұрын
It’s probably a combination of both, Richard. Covid has made things worse, and increased reporting on social media etc has exposed it

@@TheSoloSummiteer very sad indeed. Maybe also it’s never been as cheap to buy kit too.

another top video! Whereabouts did you park if you dont mind me asking? Finding somewhere to park seems to be my single biggest issue when wild camping in the lakes!
@TheSoloSummiteer4 жыл бұрын
Many thanks Jules👍. I parked on the grassy bit just before the Wasdale Inn. Know what you mean about parking, it can be a real pain, everywhere, even more so since Covid 🙄
@DjJDtech4 жыл бұрын
@@TheSoloSummiteerThank you, and yes it really has become a pain, especially at weekends. Just getting on a car park is a result sometimes. I tend to ignore the "no overnight parking", as I figured they can only prove it if someone is there to see your car at midnight. Who's to say I didn't go for a late night hike, then came back for an early morning hike?! 😏😂
