As I'm hearing 'looks pretty munchie', the riverboarder in me is going ' that looks like great fun!'
@dennishuntley Жыл бұрын
The channel that is munchie is not the Whitewater channel designed for paddling, but next to the easier channel. We all suspect that folks will get on that channel too for some world class surfing, as it is right there and the temptation is too great for those with better skill set who like harder stuff for Rodeo moves. I could see some future championship Rodeo competition there with space for spectators and judges there on the walkway in-between the two channels.

Thanks for the sneak peek at this Dennis. Looks fun except for that lake paddle. This is not far from me at all, but I have heard the shuttle is a pain in the butt?!

There are boat landings on either side of the Stumpy Pond lake. The one on the east side is a much shorter paddle out. The shuttles are easy and fairly quick, but then the east side is a little longer shuttle. I think the only time anything would be a pain is if you have a headwind on the lake, which can happen. You also have the option of park and play on the concrete course at the top, and paddle back to the car at the put in. There is a nice ramp for an easy carry back up to the top of the course.

I was going to ask just that. Looked like you could paddle back up fishing creek to the put in, if that’s possible that would be awesome for those without a shuttle

where is this
@dennishuntley Жыл бұрын
It is at the small town of Great Falls, South Carolina, down I-77 between Charlotte and Columbia about 15 minutes off the Interstate, easy to get to.
