Had both of these back in the 90s when shooting for the wires and other news agencies, the EOS 1n was a tank and a great rig. The 5 (A2 here in the US), not so much, as I did have quite a few issues with it in the field. Before that, the F1, A1, and T-90s were my main kit in the 80s.

Amazing photos! Love the shots you made with the camera so props to both of you and the model as well. How can I follow her on Instagram? Didn't see the link to her profile. I personally own an EOS 5 and shoot with it from time to time. Like what you said, what appealed to me to get into film photography with an EOS 5 is because of its relatively low price. I am already a Canon shooter and I have a number of Canon EF lenses in my collection. It's a smooth transition from Digital to Film. I don't really care too much about the aesthetic of the body of the camera compared to the reliability and the end results, which is why EOS film cameras fits my choice of go-to film camera bodies.

I have a Canon Rebel G and Canon 50mm f/1.8 II lens. I develop and scan my own 35mm film. Of course I also have a Rebel SL2 DSLR and a new ZTE Blade X1 phone with a really nice quad lens camera. I just take a lot of pix and post on FB/Instagram/twitter as a hobby.

Another great ep, guys! One thing I didn't like about these later model Film SLRs and Point & Shoots is the lack of film advance levers (and film rewind knobs that can tell you if you loaded a canister correctly or at all..). But I am considering to get a Nikon F4 or even a F80/F100 (so I can also use my existing Nikon Lenses)
@ThirtyFiveStudio5 жыл бұрын
Those are great considerations. Lol yeah, advance levers are almost too cool to pass on.

Great video. Not that you asked but I would condense the talking parts down a bit or do voiceovers while the photos play. Also I would buy a cheap mic for the camera. Great video though.

I have an EOS 5 and an EOS 1000nf. I’m doing my analogue 365 project on the latter using just my plastic fantastic, TMax 400 and only on camera flash. They are definitely the best cameras for Canon digital shooters to start with, I always recommend them but watch out for the mode dial on the EOS 5 which is a known weak point. I’ve had to replace mine but it wasn't massively expensive and I got the camera free with the (in)famous 28-80 f3.5-f5.6 lens, which is so bad its fun. But if you are shooting a cropped body digital camera you cannot use the ef-s lenses. The batteries are easy to get online, I think my Bronica automatic wind on uses the same, and I always keep a couple of spares. You are aware that the EOS range have a screen that gives basic information such as...well you’ve loaded film for one. But don’t worry about it, my wife and I once travelled 70 miles before dawn to realise I’d forgotten all my lenses. Had to go back the next day and had one of my best days ever, I got three solid prints out of it. Great video, good to see you both in the same place. Thanks for posting.

The EOS bodies never apealed to me. Not because of the plastic and modern aesthetic, but because it favours the auto wind and rewind over the manual which in my opinion is a big part of film photography.
