The most beautiful and perfect spot overlooking Loch Ness comes at a price. The the cold bedrock below me wee sleeping mat saps the warmth from my bones overnight. With out my cold weather gear along I get creative and find a wonderful solution. I also share my favorite breakfast before Sundance and I continue along the Way. The wonders never cease to amaze.

I have a friend who owned a BnB in Drumnadrochit, she sold it just before Covid hit, otherwise I would have contacted you earlier with a recommendation. When we first met her back in the 1990's she recommended that we should do as the locals do, wait till 10pm and jump the gate to see the castle. So we did, midnight in May, still stunning, and 100 times more eerie in the dark! :)

18:45 the largest Alder forest in Europe, at good old amsterdrum there. worth a walk around that alder stand its a nice space
