Thought this guitar would become an over the top parody. And I was more than skeptical about the fabric on the necks. But I was wrong. Very wrong! It turned out awesome in all aspects. It is actually very tasteful. This will give the competitors a run for their money! Wow!

This is the raddest video ever. Even though I was in and out of the shop during filming, I had no idea how complicated the building process was. So many calculations and decisions. Thank God you could turn to Chris’s beard as the tie breaker when you’d find disagreements. Mostly though, I’m just excited about the hot blowing action at 27:09. Been following y’all for about a year and started really stalking once the GGBO started. This is far and away the best build but I was also impressed with Brad’s. Woo! Well, you guys wanted to kick ass...mission accomplished! So much coolness in one package: fabric covered fingerboards? who woulda thought of that? An octave neck, a bass expander with it's own channel, German carve top, metal flake, and certainly not least Mike Learn pinstriping!!!! A custom stand, case, and a nice splitter box. This creation will become legend. Whether it takes top spot in the contest, it's a win no matter how you look at it. And a cameo from Mrs. T at 52:04. :)

As a viewer of these builds & lover of all things made & worked on by our own very hands it's been a blast watching all you, including the Unofficial one's, come together to work on idea's for guitar's... I like many of my ex musician's have not been too pleased with how the Big Brand Name's in (predominately) lead & bass guitar have become quite lazy & not keeping up with what musicians want these days... I'll admit that the last 10 to 12 years has been better as they have at least upgraded their tuning pegs/bridges & overall color designs now available but if you wanted something a bit more you, we had to go through their Custom Guitar's & the prices became rediculious... I've always been a supporter of Luthiers who build in lesser numbers but crank up their ongoing ideas & especially the more hand crafted feel that I prefer to that of generic mass produced guitar's... Ok, I'll give you that the acoustic guitars have been great & thankfully for budding musicians we've seen the Bigger Brands bring out Mid Level versions & then even more affordable lower versions on the price scale of many guitar's... That's been a great addition & it has at least shown older established & budding musicians that they are at least trying to cater to everyone's price level & the one guitar that keeps coming to mind is the Sterling Ray Sub Bass Guitar... As far as build quality goes I thought they really did well but in the sound department I couldn't believe how much they managed to duplicate that famous MusicMan Stingray Sound & I still catch out friends to this day when I ask them to close theirs eyes & I'll play one of my MusicMan Stingray Basses & then the Sterling Ray Sub & they can't really tell which one is which & these are fellow Bassists who've played in the music industry for decades... I've never taken a Stetling Ray Sub into a Recording Studio to see how it would fair in that environment but at a low entry priced bass guitar I've still to see one to match it for build quality & capturing that famous MusicMan Stingray Sound... Of course once you've progressed as a bassist you could going for the Sterling Ray Stingray range or if you can afford it go for the Ernie Ball MusicMan Stingray Basses but at least at the start of your musical journey or for just noddling on to the pass the time the Sub Ray Range really do punch above their weight & Ibanez have been doing great with their 3 Tier level of lead guitars also... Back to my main point, it's been a blast & great to see these Luthier's or people who just build things on their spare time come together & show that their is still a passion that's alive & well for these instruments... I've always known that apart from a few bigger brand name guitars I can go to independent luthier's if I wanted something that was more tailored towards what I was looking for & not another generic guitar that's just been put together without much thought to individual guitar players... I get that Yes there are certain guitars that will always appeal to every guitar player lead or bassist but they are usually over priced & it's been great to at least see this change for the better for aspiring guitarists but for me it's always been the smaller independent guitar builders that do it for me as they really put the time in to (mostly) handcraft their guitars & put more thought in their design & sounds & being predominately a bassist when I used to play my top builders were & are Wal/John Diggins aka JD Supernatural Series/Status/Moon/Michael V Pedulla/Sandberg , there are more but I'm too tired as it's the back of 4am & after another session of watching official & unofficial guitar builders bring their guitars to life, was well worth my time spent watching them all to fantastic work... It's been great watching you all come together to build your guitar's & I'm looking forward to next year's Great Guitar Build Off Of 2021... In light of the still ongoing coronavirus outbreak stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... .....

It was a little cringy to be honest. A COMPLICATED project like this should not get past the "what are we trying to do and would we like it? phase" Long before you start cutting wood. I donno. 2 people trying to quickly answer hindsight questions all day gets tiring.

Incredible instrument and an absolute piece of art. You made it impossible for any of the competition to even be able to live up to that word. Kind of a shame that most of the people in this contest didn’t seem to care at all, or have any fun with it. Texas Toast wasn’t on my radar until this, but you’ve got a huge fan in me now.
