hi i love all kinds of owls and i wanted to tell you all something people are putting rat poisoning out and owls have been getting poisoned by eating rodents like rats mice etc its very important to break the cycle immediately i hope little owl is ok thanks for rescuing it

Yes, that is so sad and true. I remember seeing a pic on Facebook about owls eating poisoned rodents and the owl's eyes were closed and sleepy looking like this one. I am glad to hear that it is doing okay.

That's strange,at first I thought the owl got a hold of some posion from people using it for rodent's. Glad it checked out ok. The mushrooms were cool.

This owl when first found definitely looks sick. He can hardly keep his eyes open which isn't normal and doesn't have enough energy to fly though neither wings appears broken.

It's like the equivalent of bringing your dog or cat to the vet because you think something is wrong, only for the vet to say "Yeah he's just like that."

Always check birds if they have threads or hair stuck on their feet.

Maybe he was too young to be able to fly up from the ground and just needed some help to fly up, throw him up in the air, just like you have to do with bats.
