Welcome to the third jazz drum lesson from my step-by-step, easy-to-understand, 5-part "Great Jazz Drum Fills" lesson shorts series. These drum fills are built around the five and seven stroke roll drum rudiments. They sound great and are, by far, some of my favorite jazz drum fills to play. In this drum lesson short, we will play the accents using a cymbal and bass drum. For the first example, the right hand accents will be played using the ride cymbal and bass drum. For the second example, the right hand accents will be played on the ride cymbal and the left hand accents will be played using a left-side ride or crash cymbal. #shorts
Be sure to watch the next lesson in this series where we will move the accents around the set to create two more great jazz drum fills.
