Love the sound of those engines on the roll. Great look at the cockpit right as they moved the throttles forward. Seemed like a nice steep rate of climb as well. Well done!

Yes it would have been really neat to see what Beechcraft could have developed past this aircraft and King. This plane was really cool sitting in the back because at cruise it almost sounded as if you were flying a CRJ 200 or smaller jet. The sound of the props were very minimal. The wing view series is coming soon.

The flight was great. A very unique experience as the pilots interact with the passengers without any FA's on board. This flight was because of a cancelled flight a year ago. I was going Merced to LAX and the flight from Vegas was cancelled. The taxi'd us to Visalia because they said the plane would skip there and never came. We took a taxi to LAX for 4 hours. This time, both flights were early if not on-time and customer service super friendly. On a good day, great lakes is awesome.

i know for us, who operates the same aircraft, the 1900 doesn't have a door that can be lock so you would see some pilots would fly with the door open and some close, but its more the pilots call

I just noticed something the propeller when at full speed sounds similar to an Saab 2000 plane

As a matter of fact, I will be filming my first MD-88 at the end of this month traveling to a family wedding. In August I have one more wedding to attend, so I am going to try to customize some DC-9 routes with the DL voucher I have leftover from December.

I'm not sure how this rule works. On Cape Air, there is no cockpit door in their cessnas, and they sometimes let people sit next to the captain.
@GamingForAnAfterLife11 жыл бұрын
It kind of depends some airliners keep it shut and locked in flight in case of high jacking.

I can see an biggest A380 on the ground. It enormous size of this little baby plane. Great video.
@LoveJT8D7 жыл бұрын
Yes, the A380 makes the Beech-1900 look like a small riding lawn mower.

Thanks man, the wing view series is on the way.

they leave the cockpit door open in flight? that's cool, but thought that was some sort of violation? maybe not..

Fantastic video!! How did you like your flight with Great Lakes? I live in Denver, and while they do fly out of here, I've read that a lot of people have complained that their flights are late and that they have poor customer service.

The 1900 is essentially a stretched king air 350. Slightly larger engine - same pressurization system and a stretched cabin.. Looks like you somewhat got your wish...

The 1900 is by far the most spartan airliner I have ever been on, spartan, but capable. I wish Beechcraft had followed on with more airliner development. I would like to see a stretched King Air made into an airliner.

No, actually into LAX it was right on schedule I would say a good 45 mins before we departed.

One thing to add, they gave me the flight voucher for the cancelled flight and also refunded my entire ticket from MCE - LAX.
@dave4shmups12 жыл бұрын
Well, that's nice. Was your flight from LAX-VIS late at all?

This aircraft can fly up to 25000 ft. Small aircraft but high altitude.
@LoveJT8D4 жыл бұрын
That's pretty descent performance for this little turboprop.
@CaptainArt77711 жыл бұрын
That is not entirely correct. Having own a 350, I can tell you that we can cruise at 35K while the 1900D is restricted to 25K due to it pressurization system. We use the say that the 1900D is a King Air on steroids.

I will be flying this route in July to Visalia from LAX and back. I am switching to Great Lakes being that I am flying from Idaho on Alaska Airlines with a layover at PDX. I will post all landings on all 6 flights. Q400, 737-400, B1900, B1900, 737-900, Q400
@LoveJT8D10 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Enjoy all of your flights. Visalia has a nice little airport, and bus service if you have time to go into town. You will like the B1900 if you haven't flown one already.
@MegaContain110 жыл бұрын
LoveJT8D I have flown into Visalia multiple times and been on four B1900s. This is just adding more, im going to visit some old friends. I am from Tulare ten miles from Visalia before I moved to Idaho. Although ive been on that aircraft and been to that airport im still very excited as always to fly once again.
