Factory install. There is a ring of leather with a zipper. You just zip in in or out.

What am I missing they look the same? I couldn't see any change in the flaps.

Mostly in pitch attitude. The tail wheel does not touch the ground on the first one. The second one is a full stall landing in a 3 point attitude. You didn't see any change in the flaps because this aircraft does not have any flaps! Most biplanes do not have flaps. Plenty of lift with the two wings and also a lot of drag.
