Sir in maths one question i have objection: If [x]² - 5[x] + 6 = 0, where [x] denotes the greatest integer function, then They gave the correct answer as: x belongs to [2,3] But, for greatest integer function 3.9999 will be converted to 3 which will satisfy the equation right? So correct option should be X belongs to [2,4) Is this right?? Should we object for this?? Please reply.
