Like this the most of all the XX devices from Anbernic. Especially the black model you have. Looks really neat. Alltogether I appreciate that everybody is slowly starting to leave this damn tiny 3.5" screens behind them.

I got 2 of them... this is by far the best retro handheld I have handled, nothing is even close. I'm not talking about raw power, those high powered "retro" systems are more of modern Android game systems. For a pure retro old school gaming with a clean Linux OS and a proper fucking sleep mode and a good battery life this is by far my pick.

Hi wicked great vid bought mine last week from amazon very happy with it especially with psp performance plays flawless but leave it on default settings only.happy with 2 sd card slots I use one for os and the 2nd one for roms.i thrown the stock sd card away not stable enough.backed on my pc first.

This is a very nice device and probably the best one to get in the rg35xx line imo. But I'm really really waiting for anbernic or powkitty to release a device like this form factor with all the buttons that it currently has, but with an extra USB-C port, analog L2 R2 triggers with a 5-in screen and ability to play GameCube and PS2 games at 60 frames per second at 1X resolution with no slowdown for $150 CAD. And while people were telling me 20 years ago, I was living in a dream world. I am now living in that dream world as we are on the verge of actually getting that.

He comprado la RG40XX H por 57 euros y aún estoy esperando que llegue desde China. Por ese precio, prefiero no esperar por esa consola portátil retro "ideal" y poder disfrutar desde hoy. En un futuro, si existiera la consola que dices, siempre se puede comprar y regalar o vender la RG40XX H. Porque esperando por lo ideal la vida va pasando amigo mío.

I think this 40XX H is just a format option for their recent Linux/RetroArch systems since the H700 SoC looks to be the same in 35XX SP, 35XX Plus and 35XX H - which this one should be kind of an half inch screen+RGB+ergonomics update. So, just a matter of flavours, like strawberry icecreams: pure, extra sweet, creamy, with fruit pieces or jelly, chocolate grains and so on... but still strawberry icecream. This delivers a really great experience for its about $60~80 price level, but i'm really more excited to see when they'll came up with something new, with more firepower and compatibilities, like their 556 and Cube ended up being after the Arc D and the Win one before it.

Yeah, but the 3.5" to 4.0" update is a 30% screen increase. Nice upgrade!

Anbernic doesn't always "phone it in" like other Chinese companies. Nice performance, but I still prefer the Playstation-style handgrips for using the control sticks. Thanks for the review!

This is a great video. I may have to pick one up. I’m gonna guess it does not come with the emulators and games included? I don’t have access to a computer to do that for a few more weeks, so I didn’t know if I should get it sent home or where I’m staying now so I can play it right away.

I kind of want to get one because I'm in healthcare for school and when I get out I'm going to do a lot of traveling so I'm looking at the r36s and this one looks good as well what's the difference I mean I know the 36 doesn't play PS2 games does this one is this one a better comparable value than the r36?

PS2 you should look now into the 200usd line to get it running. Or just a steam deck that is the best option. Now it's matter of formfactor and quality at this point.

Yes it does. And it's actually a good one from what I have seen. No more generic micro SDs, that lose your data. Anbernic is really stepping up their game
