Are they orange men why orange I thought it s Irish green I want to hear the wearing of the does orange men believe in the shamrock is it true it doesn’t grow in any country but it’s a plant so why just Ireland and I was told it’s not clover it’s got a stem and it’s thick and a strong ROOTS

The Irish Guards pipers wear green doublets and kilts of saffron. "Orange" is a dirty word to Irishmen.

The orange men are Protestants and the Catholics are the green and Ireland was divided with the north predominately orange and the republic green. The trouble was the two couldn't get along so blew each other up at the first available opportunity. The Irish are renown for their intolerance and if there isn't an orangeman in sight then you beat the hell out of anyone especially after a few Guiness.

The Irish guards have a strong culture of respecting the traditions of both Protestant and Catholic guardsmen. Even today they have men of either affiliation/sentiment from NI and ROI in their ranks. On parade they’ll typically play an “orange/unionist” song followed by a “green/republican” one.
