As far as your instrument arrangement, it reminded me of the best Country music I ever heard, and nothing better since. It was a live show, in a small edgy bar in Texas. It was a drummer, bass player, and two fiddles, one fiddle doing rhythm and vocals the other doing leads. That was in 1995, to this day nothing touches it, and is my standard criteria for Country music....thx for the Logic help with the vid.

Hey Mike. Useful video as always. How do you get the articulation into the piano roll?
@loungermusic3 жыл бұрын
Would also love to know this. And what's the synth being used?
@mikaelbaggstrom3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Martin. So you can either create your own articulation sets in Logic, or if you think that it takes too much time, just buy a collection of articulation sets. This is what I did, I made a video on Art Conductor here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKOXq32Hfr50mas
@loungermusic3 жыл бұрын
@@mikaelbaggstrom Much appreciated :) I think Martin may have been asking a slightly more specific question (I know I was). I worked it out from the other video you linked to, so thought it may be useful to clarify here. In order to get the Articulation dropdown appearing in the Piano roll do the following: 1. Open Logic and select an instrument that handles articulations (like Studio Strings, which I think comes with Logic by default?) 2. At the very bottom of the Track Inspector there is a Dropdown box for 'Articulations'. As soon as you've chosen something from the Track Inspector, the 'Articulations' Dropdown will appear in the piano roll.

Mike.... I’m a huge fan of urs. Your way of presentation is very simple and understandable to even beginners like me. Can you upload a video on stock eq methods? Explain more about the frequencies and the steps on how to eq basic instruments(ex: piano, pads, strings, drums, vocals) then we will get a clear basic understanding about eq. And after that upload about stock compression and different controls in it and how to effectively do compression and finally get a clear output. Thanks mike....

Hi Mike! A month ago I started watching your videos and, despite my poor knowledge of English, I learned a lot of interesting things ... I became your subscriber ... Well, first of all, you are super! Here in this video I ran into a problem: you have a choice of articulation in the piano roll on the left instead of the volume fader for some reason !!! How do you do it? Thanks in advance ... Alexander
@mikaelbaggstrom3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Alexander. I'm using a 3rd party tool. Check this video I made on articulation switching in Logic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKOXq32Hfr50mas

Thank you for the deep dive into the shift-P (and shift-D) features! I will definitely start using these (as well as how much to add for accent beats, something I've under-shot up to now). I wonder about groove tracks; nice to have another option, but it would seem odd for notes from two different instruments to be off the beat by the same amount, no? (I guess there's a use or they wouldn't add that feature, but having trouble seeing it as non-creepy.)

It would have been nice to have access to several variations of groove tracks to be honest. =)

Mikael, Thank you! Your video led me to a question. How did the guy made these articulations if it isn't a Logic instrument? And I got it really quickly. thanks, KZbin. I've discovered an entire universe of cool features. I also use channels So selecting all events of a channel is "as simple as" Shift H.

This is great! Already learned so much from this. How do you get that articulation adjustments to show up between velocity and scale quantize that you have? I don't have that. Thanks!
@mikaelbaggstrom3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Sanil. Well you have to have instruments (sample libraries) that can play multiple articulations first. Then you need to create an articulation set for them, or buy a 3rd party package which is what I did. I made a video on it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKOXq32Hfr50mas
