Great Planes Slow Poke RC Plane

This is a short flight demo of my Slow Poke. It was built from a Great Planes kit by my friend, Doc Darnell, over 30 years ago. It still has the original Monokote covering on it! It is powered by a Saito .30 Golden Knight engine, not a .56 as described in the video. Oops. A great flying model in calm wind conditions, though it was a bit gusty when I shot this footage.

Yup!!!! Build your own kit/plane. Might be sort of a lost art. Kits are getting hard to find and expensive when you do find one. What a shame!!!

Agree! I need to take it out again soon. I usually try to time it so that the original builder can be out at the field. He built it over 30 years ago!
