To anyone considering building a model like this I say, go for it! But keep in mind, bolsa is a great insulator. The thick doublers in the nose help isolate vibration and noise.

Curious Mark. Do you use a scroll saw or a scap0le knife to cut out the larger fuselage sides? Great video. Learning a lot from you as I gather materials to build an RCM Sportster from plans. Appreciated.

Hi there, thank you for the comment, it's appreciated. I will always use a scalpel, or a 42tpi razor saw for cross cuts. I only use a had fretsaw for cutting ply. Good luck with the RCM Sportster, I printed out the plans a couple of years ago as it looks a great model, I must het I built one day 😀

Many thanks Mark for sharing this video. I am new to this hobby. Can you tell me how you print out the plans. I have an A4 printer. Is it possible to print the plans on A4 sheets and join them together? Tim
@MarkRobinson5552 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment, its appreciated, pleased you like the videos. If you go it the print menu on your computer there should be an option to print as a "Poster", which will alow you to print on A4, or what ever paper you have, and stick it together. Plans downloaded form siteds like Outerzone are usually 100% so you need to print with the Tile Scale at 100%. You can check if 100% by using the adobe reader measuring tool.

What do you print from? Its obviously not an A4 printer. Do you get them professionally printed and at what cost? Thanks.
@MarkRobinson5552 жыл бұрын
Hi, I usually take the pdf file to the printers so I can get it done full size. The best, and cheapest, are usually those places used to doing building and landscape plans rather than posters and displays etc. I usually pay around £3.50 a sheet, depending on the size, which is a good price.
