Kellee, I really like that you show me why that you bought each fabric. A lot of KZbinrs just show that they went on a Fabric spending spree and I really don’t care what somebody else has purchased. You are the exception because you have a purpose for things you buy and it’s nice to see how you’re finishing our sampler quilts. You are a great KZbin presenter and I love following all of your videos. Happy new year.

Joanne’s sells Moda 108” fabric for backing as well! I shop Joanne’s and Hobby Lobby for great fabrics! I also take my quilt tops with me makes it so much easier to make a decision! Thank you so much for such informative and inspirational videos! I see you do only see sampler, have you tried Bella Rose Quilt subscription box, it absolutely fabulous it’s a bimonthly box so 6 per year but so awesome! 😊

If you watch the sales you can get flannel for $3 or $4/ yard at Joanns. I have an assortment of 5 yard pieces for quilt backs -- plaids, tie-dyes, dinosaurs, florals, celestials, snowflakes -- they don't have to be baby themed. I love flannel for a backing. Just pre-wash. Thanks for sharing

Flannel is the best backing fabric! I'm just a TX and then TN gal. So it's not super cold... but flannel feels great!

I have the best luck buying backing from Marshall Dry Goods plus background fabric. Just got for $4.95/ yard. I also buy bundles of backing 10 3 yard 108” pieces . I buy bundles that have colors I normally use.

Oh! I keep forgetting about them. But when I buy things online I always seem to just add to my stash because the colors are so hard to match.

When I first learned to quilt in the 90's, the quilt shop/teaching studio taught us to just use muslin as a backing. The quilting fabric was super expensive then and in limited supply. When I came back to it just before COVID, everything was now machine pieced, and we are using quilt fabric as backing. Times have changed. Sadly, my JoAnns has eliminated their quilter's showcase fabric. I am very lucky there is an SR Harris nearby where all batiks, Timeless Treasures, Andover and some Moda, etc. are all half price. You would love it

I love all the things you do. And I am always worried about JoAnns fabric. But with the sales going on I have revisited Joannes and picked up quite a few yards of fabric myself to do a backing for a baby quilt and I’m finding it some of the fabric is a lot better quality than it used to be not all of it. I’m pretty picky too but yeah, I have picked up quite a few sales yards😊
