The Entire prequel trilogy is also about the fall of Anakin form the chosen one to darth Vader, and gorge Lucas is notoriously bad at writing dialogue, even mark Hamal has said that certain lines where rough in the original trilogy, so I do think that this was Lucas trying to show how far Anikin had fallen

@@thomasthetankcat1133 I get what you're saying but I'm the context of the scene, palpatine has been seducing Anakin subtly and convincing him that there was a power that could save padme, who the Jedi don't even support that kind of relationship, then Anakin saw Mace Windu try to assassinate the Chancellor rather than go through appropriate channels to have him arrested, and then the friction that Anakin has been feeling with his master comes to a head when obi wan calls palpatine evil and Anakin throws it back at him. Also it's a play on obi wan not telling Luke that Vader is his father and justifying by saying that from a certain point of view he didn't lie.

Lucas was always bad at dialogue, that's why his wife rewrote so much of the script of the original trilogy, and why Harrison Ford famously says "you can write it, but you can't say it." I don't know for sure if Lucas is autistic, but he's certainly an awkward nerd. He can make a fantastic space fantasy setting with a cool story, but he's not particularly good understanding how people talk.

But that dialogue is important for him to say it that way. Can you set the way you would say it would be misinterpreted by the audience. Lucas often test these sentences on people and then reshoots so that the message would be clear. I don't know about this particular line but it sounds like one of the those lines he had to reshoot. Because of Anakin and said "you're wrong the Jedi are evil!" Many audience members would think that the Jedi really are evil. It was important to point out that this was coming from Anakin's point of view.
