What's your KZbin recording equipment setup for this? Camera, mic, amp mic, interface, software? I am considering trying to set up to make vids

Sounds really good. Last year I bought the epiphone inspired by Gibson 335 . I find it a bit sharp, still really good. Always wanted a gibson

Nice axe, Chris. I've got a 60's 335 in cherry, sorry it's so glossy. :D On a serious note, you're playing was great, but that amp's not doing your sound any favors for YT videos. I could tell right away even before cheating (I looked in the description) and seeing that was a Fender Rumble. I use on for practicing in my house, I've got a 100 for when I play bass at home. You're using a Flint, El Capistan, and Fulldrive, and that amp's front end doesn't know what to do with those pedal tones. It was whoofy and lacked clarity. You've also got a nice mic, though the room could use some acoustic treatment. Even a Spark mini, 50 watt Katana, or a multi-effects pedal (like a Boss ME-80) direct would sound better. Then you're not fighting mic placement and room distortion of your sound. Like you, I was inspired by Michael J. Fox's stage presence in "Back to the Future", but unlike you, by the time that movie came out, I'd already been a pro touring musician, called it quits and joined the Navy. LOL. Tells you how good (or lucky?) I was. I look a lot like MJF, so I was accosted for autographs back then, believe it or not. Back when I was a touring musician, I was a Gibson Les Paul through a homemade Radio Shack parts amp guy, but that's another lifetime ago. [Other people tell me I like like Mark Hammill of Star Wars. Who knows what people see.] I'd always wanted a 335, but by the time I retired from the Navy and started playing in bands regularly again, I was stuck in the solid body realm as a matter of expense. An American Standard Strat and a Gibson Les Paul Studio through a used Fender Deluxe was all I had. Then I went down the pedal rabbit hole! Had to have a delay and reverb and overdrive and distortion and flanger and phaser and... yeah, too much money! I probably have close to $50k wrapped up in pedal boards over the years, and that's likely an understatement for my sanity's sake. I decided finally to get a Gibson ES-335. They can be hit or miss, whether new or used. Some are whoofy, some are lifeless, and some sing like birds. You gotta get the right one for you. As my guitar wall filled with various Gibson, Fender, and PRS guitars, I finally stumbled on a 335 when I had some expendable cash. Brand new, $2100 out the door (and that included tax!). Don't ask how I got a $2999 guitar out for so little, that would make this post a lot longer. I get artist pricing, and I moved just before the price hike! So finally to my ES-335 that I found that I liked. It's relatively new and came out in the new era of Gibson (2020) and the quality control had finally come back. I had some buffing compound in the neck heal, but I was able to get it out by gently (you don't want to remove the finish) wiping it. I do guitar tech work, so I immediately set it up and got it playing the way I like it. It's a mainstay in my collection and I play it all of the time; mostly because it's an electric I can hear without plugging in, so it's good for conference calls. In the end, it's about what you enjoy, and so long as you love that guitar, it's the right one; and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Take my advice, don't let it go! I've had quite a few offers on my 335, and I've turned them all down because I know at the end of the day, it's not easily replaced and I would lose my shirt in the deal. My kids will be handing it to their kids is my hope. Rock on, Chris!
