This proof coin is a new release from The Perth Mint.
To be honest, photos can't do it justice - there's a Mother of Pearl setting in the middle shaped like Australia that glimmers with the light. It has a holographic effect - I'm not sure if I was hypnotised or just mesmerised, but I found it hard to look away.
This is a 1oz Silver Proof / Mother of Pearl Coin.
While the centre of the coin is the Australian Continent, that map is made of mother of pearl which comes from the shells of molluscs from the sea, so it really is a coin celebrating the oceans of Australia!
It comes in a box with a magnetic lid and a numbered certificate of authenticity.
It doesn’t focus on one specific animal but instead it includes a Great White Shark, a Blue Ringed Octopus, a Clown Fish and other sea creatures living in coral.
In terms of the tech specs, apart from the mother of pearl in the centre, it is composed of 99.99% silver. It's dated 2021 and is Australian legal tender with the current Jody Clarke effigy of the Queen on the Heads side.
It has a mintage of only 5,000 and being so unique, I wanted to get this video to you as it’s released, so you have the best possible shot at getting a copy.

The interference your getting in your mic recordings is normally caused by AC current interference through the cables itself. Be sure your power cables are away from your audio cables or the AC magnetic field will pass across causing the back ground audio interference you are having.
