Thank you for your reviews in English. They are excellent! The absence of music is very refreshing and the production is excellent. Wish you the best of luck with this channel 💪

Have been using since this year June. Mostly transporting kids (4y and 2y). Kickstand is little bit pain and front brakes are noisy, but in general all good. As I am 1.96m, I can approve its fit also for tall persons.

So for people who are thinking about buying this, I have R&M Multicharger2 and purchased this Cube Longtail out of curiosity as I wanted to carry bit more stuff with me at times. Now that I have been driving personally with it for a while, I don't know what magic cube has done with this frame but I did 200km tour trip with this and it felt much more comfortable to do compared to Multicharger2. I have theory that for longer distances where you have good roads, normal fork is actually better than suspended..? I replaced battery with PowerPack 800 and replaced front light with new Cube Acid Pro 140 (with high beam feature). Stand is problematic, I contacted dealer support and heard they still don't know what do with it and suggested to replace it with normal one sided kickstand leg.

Great video! Thanks! I have a question regarding the battery in the down tube. So does that mean that even if you buy the base model with the 725w battery, you can still upgrade it by adding a battery in the down tube? Do you know if any powertube is compatible? Thank you!
@thecargobikechannel29 күн бұрын
If you buy the base model, you would also have to buy the battery mounting hardware to fit the second battery in the downtube. It's not plug and play. So if you need the extra battery capacity, I'd choose a double battery setup right ahead.

Great in-detail review of the Longtail. We picked up the same model a few days ago and I agree it's a beautiful bike with many cleverly thought-out little features. I've found it rides very naturally and is stable even up above 50kmh on a descent. We live in a city with a lot of very steep hills and when the motor is in Cargo model it makes light work of even 20% inclines. You covered everything so well but one other thing to mention is that you can also fit a frame lock around the rear wheel. That's a great addition. The only thing I don't like is that it comes in such a limited selection of colours; blueish white or greenish grey for the derailleur model.

Oh wait frame lock did you use?
@thecargobikechannelАй бұрын
Yes, correct, the frame lock option is great, but it’s on the dealers side to install it and care for the locks. It would be more convenient, if Cube delivers it with the frame lock as standard and with the same lock as for the battery and the rack in the middle.
@Jon-mf2noАй бұрын
@@sburge1989 I used the AXA Imenso X Large, which fits neatly around the large mudguard and tyres.

Cube online support told me that The ACID frame lock LATCH 6078 #93354 is compatible with the Longtail Hybrid. It will be available in October 2024

Any plans of testing the Merida Centuro Vario 960 and or the O2Feel equo 7.2? A review of those like you did this one would be a treat! Thanks for your work. Excellent job!
@thecargobikechannelАй бұрын
I will review the O2Feel beginning of next year. And we had the centurion last year. You can find two videos in German with English subtitles on my main channel.
@boerhenkcbАй бұрын
@@thecargobikechannel yes found it and other good stuff! Did decide on the O2Feel 7.2 though. I hope your review will confirm my choice. I like the frame, the belt and the suspension. Got one, with family pack + Thule child seat for 4500 euro. Feels like the bargain of the century. And got in in lease with benefits from work, so it actually costs only 3500, including 3 years of maintenance, insurance and road assistance. That is just a couple hundreds extra to the R500e, but i do feel it is quite a better bike. Looking forward to your review and opinion!

I love this bike. I’m having some weird metallic sounds from the front brake disc. My bike dealer told me that the disc was too big and tend to move a little bit when I tilt the bike on curve. He wants me to move to another disc from magura, something used for mountain bike. Did you had this problem ? By the way, what was the accessory mounted in front of the battery?
@thecargobikechannelАй бұрын
Tolerances seem to be a tad smaller with magura brakes. I got several bikes with them and they all tend to be noisier than Shimano or Tektro brakes, especially with bigger discs. Technically they work fine, the noise doesn’t bother me anymore… The accessory holds a small toolkit made by Cube: Acid Husk 18

I have exactly the same problem. Together with other problems. Tack already broke twice (dealer did a manual fix and needed to make a iron plate to connect) Foot stand came loose due to bad mounting system. Meanwhile the foot broke and is already being replaced under waranty. The bike is trouble... I regret buying it...
@slesers19 күн бұрын
For me same problem with brakes
@LarsGutseinАй бұрын
Did you find any workaround for the kickstand problem?
@thecargobikechannelАй бұрын
No, not really. Lifting the front and actuate the kickstand with one foot seems to be the only tolerable option. But you need some strength and balance to keep the bike upright, especially with kids on the back.

@@thecargobikechannel Every time I get on the bike I have to kick the stand into position or it rubs the wheel, it's very annoying.

Do you have a comparison with the Tern GSD?
@thecargobikechannelАй бұрын
They are just similar in the fact, that both are long tail cargo bikes. The ride feel, geometry and range of accessories are quite different, though Cube is not far off in the last point. But also the GSD is much more expensive. I feel like, Cube took a few shortcuts to get the price down but still managed to get great ideas into the bike, while Tern went all in and refined the first Gen GSD by a lot. However, we are at a point, where I would either wait for the third Gen GSD with the Smart System or choose the less expensive Quick Haul long, if I'd buy a Tern. But the Cube is great if you can live with the kickstand and the other flaws, which are stated in the other comments.

I saw in a video very briefly that a lowrider could also be mounted on the front fork, is that indeed possible?
@thecargobikechannelАй бұрын
Yes, the fork has all necessary mounts.
@prodigalSon000Ай бұрын
I was waiting for you to mention the biggest flaw with this bike and it's not the kickstand. It's the fact that that tiny elastomer keeps breaking even after 100km. I don't know if they fixed it, or if they could ever fix it without making it out of solid aluminium and lose that cushioning property.
@thecargobikechannelАй бұрын
I was told to have an updated version on my review unit and I never had any issue with it despite riding long(ish) distances on rougher surfaces.
