It's mad how for a decade now all these short films have been made on an old train game with arguably outdated graphics, and yet... .. that's enough. The visuals enhance the story and can most of the time convey what is being told. Heck, now the old graphics are somewhat nostalgic, given how these types of videos can trace their lineage back the the mid 2000s.

I have to say, this is very well done! Telling a story from the perspective of a human in Trainz is a tricky thing to pull off and you did so nicely! You managed to make the town feel abandoned and make the engine's presence very creepy. Both of which amplify the other which is a very curtail part of adapting this story. Very nice touch of having it spin around instantaneously at the end there. As if that engine couldn't be creepy enough. I also like how it wasn't smiling when chasing the POV character. A simple detail like that can change the whole feel of a sequence. Not having the engine smile and have more of neutral look, like it's on duty or under the delusion that what's he's doing is out of necessity, strikes the right balance of unsettling and creepy without going to overboard to the point where in ruins how rewatchable it is. I'd happily return to this video! There's only one thing I'd disagree with and that's have Neil, No.2, being the engine to haunt Great Waterton. Yes, I know that Neil is THE S&M engine that we know but even before knowing the lore uncovered since the original video, it never felt right to have Neil be the "mechanical beast". He may have been ugly but he was kind and I just don't see him "consuming" all those people. I honestly thought, given how disgruntled he looked in that photo, that No.1 was going to be the one doing the haunting. Given the lore that I mentioned earlier, maybe the "mechanical beast" is the engine that worked himself to death. Like I said though, that's the only thing I disagree with. It's a still a very good video!

Neil most likely feels betrayed for being scrapped and just like that. His mind is probably full of rage for not only home but for his brothers as well. I mean that one man said mechanical beast as in one so I imagine he is doing it for his brothers as well. I also imagine that he is blinded by rage and that is why he is going after people who had nothing to do with it.

19:42- Great Waterton Was Served By The Sodor And Mainland Railway The Sodor And Mainland Railway Went Bankrupt In 1901 And All It's Engines Were Scrapped Later That Year A Group Of People Went Missing And Shortly Afterwards The Town Itself Was Abandoned One Of Those Missing People Was One Of The Same People I Saw That Man I Guess Was Warning Me Of The Thing That That Most Likely Lead To His Disappearance. That Thing In Question Was The Engine That Chased Me And Based On It's Design It's Safe To Say. It Was A Sodor And Mainland Engine. This Engine Haunts Great Waterton Which Was Probably The Main Reason Everyone Left It And It Had Nothing To Do With The Springs Drying Up Therefore It Is Possible That The Sodor And Mainland Railway Wanted To Cover Up The Real Reason And Rip Up The Line Leading To The Town To Prevent Anyone Getting Hurt Or Possibly Something Worse.
