@LittleOwl2003 Жыл бұрын
Honestly same, the only problem is this story only really takes place in one location, plus the audio and the image alone keeps the suspension of disbelief in tact so really this only works as a audio only piece. But if somebody finds a way or wants to have a crack at it, I wouldn’t be opposed to it

The book had the simple explanation of workmen taking parts of him more and more until there was nothing left. Gradually seeing Godred’s slow decent into depression and madness as his body parts are simply pulled off of him, used to mend his brethren, is really foreboding. I can’t imagine what went through his head all this time. The fact he was just left to rot for what felt like an eternity is a much worse fate than scrapping him quickly and painlessly… His screams. Those horrifying and fear invoked screams…that’s what true horror and insanity is made off. You nailed this, Little Owl. And EVERYONE else that worked on this too! A+

The real villain in the end is the controller. Godred deserved to be punished, but not psychologically, physically and masochistically tortured to death by dismemberment. And that monster got away with it... And the other engines just neglected him and willingly allowed the controller to give them his pieces with no sympathy... Disgusting... At least Lord Harry got a second chance and a new name. Or should I say... Godred got a second chance in his new body...?
@LittleOwl200311 ай бұрын
Oooh now that’s a theory I’ve not heard before. The idea that Lord Harry was possessed by Godred and that caused his change in persona. I purposefully meant for the ending to be interpretive so hearing new interpretations is always very welcome
@zafool49972 күн бұрын
Honesty, with the fact that Cuddle Fell engines have two faces, the idea of two engines in one body could work

Absolutely beautiful. The writing is phenomenal and the performances from Stephen Mansey (despite the audio quality) as Godred and Dexter Manning himself surprisingly as Lord Harry / No. 6 are top notch.

Undoubtedly ecstatic that it’s finally here! WOW! That was wholeheartedly fantastic and a truly emotive piece! Due to the beginning evoking so much sadness as opposed to fear, I was asking myself when the ‘horror’ part would come into play...then I got my answer as soon as Godred’s painful shouting began before Shane’s entrance! The psychological horror is truly there with the way Godred is written and performed which makes him so sympathetic throughout, truly an engaging narrative! I’m getting slight Handmaid’s Tale vibes from some of the themes explored! The horror was terrifically excruciating as well as the pathos (I just wanna hug Godred 💔), I honestly felt myself tearing up at the end, almost synchronising with Godred’s weeping...and then the epilogue began, WOW that was such a cleverly written ending! I LOVED IT! One again, a tragic but beautifully written tale with a fantastic performance, fantastic job!

This story didn't scare me, it just made me want to cry, anyone who's suffered from depression knows the feeling of hopelessness and isolation, being trapped and tortured by your mind, the feeling like no one is coming to help you because they cant see your pain, feeling like there is no end to it all and all you can hope for is for everything to end soon. Not sure if the author intended for me to feel that way but bravo
