As with any deckbuilder, you don't shuffle until you need to draw. This is important because you discard first then draw meaning if you shuffle early the last discarded card doesn't end up in your deck and you won't have access to it for a while. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the video and thd interaction between players. Thanks for a great video!

Things that are making me crazy in this video after the first trip to KC. 1) Arrange the cattle market so that the the cows with a particular breeding value are under the price for cows of that value (in other words put the 3s on the left, then the 4s, then the 5s) 2) The auxiliary action is actually, draw a card, and then discard. This is important because you can see what you draw before you decide what to discard. More than once they did the discard first. 3) Why didn't they explain the rules to the players ahead of time (maybe do a practice round or 2 before filming)? It's clear that Becca is the only one who understands the rules. It's not fun to watch people make poor choices because they don't understand the goal or the consequences.

She advises another player to do the same thing around 53:30 and she moves her own again in the same way at around 1:20:30. I don't think she means to cheat. She just doesn't know it costs another movement to move into the stations. She thinks you slide in for free.

you do realize that the main purpose of these videos is for people to see how the game plays, right? People complain all the time about "heavier" games not being covered and here she finally does one and yet here a bunch of negativity. It's OK if they made mistakes, it doesn't mean she cheated. You could just clarify that a "mistake" was made instead of accusing her of cheating.

Someone tried to teach three of us this for an hour and failed utterly, so I figured it was too much of a pain to bother with. Now I'm thinking the teacher was just a terrible communicator -- although this game does still seem too complex for its own good.

They are saying that to everyone who watches the video Frogy. This isn't a private game between 3 people, this is a game with 3 players, a production staff, an HR department and potential for 2+ million viewers, some of whom happen to be NAN. That's a wonderfully ironic statement Havicc, nothing like saying "That's not acceptable" then encouraging your kids to do it. That's definitely how a people evolve past the bullshit. And this isn't an academic video, where it would actually be acceptable. Also, "First Nations" isn't really a thing in the states. While I've see it used more often over the past decade, it's still pretty rare.

The game includes a very nicely laid out rulebook. Any board game worth playing is going to have tough and meaningful choices, which translates to...rules.
@bcmaledragon6 жыл бұрын
With this being my all time favourite Euro style game I had to stop after only watching this for the first 30min because of the 3 MISTAKES with regards to rules that Becca and the others fucked up on(I don't blame the other players because they had no clue about this game beforehand). 1) The first blunder was that neither Becca nor one of the others payed each other $ for passing the 1st PRIVATE building each other owned. The rule is that when you pass someone else's private building you MUST pay them $ unless you don't have the $. 2) When the one guy bought the one yellow cow for $6 instead of 2 cows for another amount because he didn't have the money although he had 2 cowboys she was suppose to turn over and add 2 more cows to the market because the rule is for every 1 cowboy worker you DON'T use when purchasing cows at the market you replenish the market with 2 cows. 3) The GREEN and BLACK hands on your private buildings DON'T mean that the other players have to STOP and pay you money for being there they're there to indicate how much money someone owes you when they either STOP on your building or pass over it when moving. In a 3 player game the GREEN hand on said buildings mean you get paid $2 anytime someone lands on or passing by your building when moving and the BLACK one means that player pays you $1. And I was SO looking forward to seeing an amazing game get played correctly.
@barrythescott5 жыл бұрын
Point number 2 is wrong I'm afraid. You may only use each Cowboy up to once but you don't have to use them all. So you MAY use any one Cowboy to draw two cards if you wish.
@danieldavalos35624 жыл бұрын
Point 1 is wrong. You only pay for going over private buildings with hands. Point 2: he should've been able to buy 2 yellow cows for $3 each, I believe, because you can buy as many cows as you can afford when you go to the cattle market. I've never heard of the replenish rule, but I haven't read the rule book in a while. I've never played with that rule, though-my understanding was that you only replenish the cattle market when the job marker passes the yellow icon. Point 3 is correct.
@bertruslanus3 жыл бұрын
@@danieldavalos3562 he couldn't have bought 2 yellow cows for 3$ each. You can only use each cowboy 1 time. So with 2 cowboys it's 12$ for 2 cows. He would have needed 4 (or 3, i don't remenber) to have the ability to buy two cows for 5$. You can add 2 cows to the market for 1 cowboy. It's printed on the board, along with the price list for the cows. You can't miss it.

@57thorns6 жыл бұрын
They are playing a bit slow yes, because they are showcasing the game, so they have to explain a lot of what they are doing in detail, including alternatives. I have been quite unimpressed by many of the previous episodes but this was ok. A bunch of rules errors as always, including when to shuffle your discard pile: When you must draw a card from your personal draw stack but have no cards left in that stack, then (and only then) pick up your personal discard pile, shuffle it thoroughly and place it as your new face-down personal draw stack to the left of your player board. Then continue to draw cards from it as usual. This difference can be critical, so there is a reason both guys ask about it, and it is annoying the Becca keeps getting it wrong. So there is still a lot of work to do before this becomes a really good board game show, pointing out errors made in post production is one of those things you need to do.
