Hey Mark. Loved these 3 vids. Cheers. Gave a really good view of the TET there. You're sense of humour tickled me too. 👍🏻

Fab vids. Loved all 3. And I appreciated your summary of the route; (great to Lyme Regis - beyond that gets overgrown). Exactly the kind of wisdom I need as am planning to do some TET on a big bike. Cheers Mark

I don't know how experienced you are, but taking a second think trough... walk up/down and evaluate the obstacle are much cooler than smash your head because of stupidity :-) And a great reminder to all of us watching this! Thank you :-) Great trip, if you ever consider the Norwegian TET give me a shout :-P

Great set of videos. Looks like you enjoyed yourself. Wish I could ride that well. And yes, rice is the go to for electronics which have taken a dip. Look at the size of dry rice vs cooked rice; lots of water gets absorbed, so rice in a sealed bag with electronics will lower the humidity in the bag and dry out the electronics.

Been living and riding in Devon for 4 years. I’d agree but would head back up to north Devon.... skip Cornwall! Also, summer is a killer for brambles, Autum/winter gives you less bush to battle.

Hey Mark, great video series! I am planning to do it in a couple of weeks, solo on a KTM 690 Enduro R and camping as you did. I am not a complete beginner, but certainly no off road god (below your standard from what I can tell)! Couple of questions if you have time matey? 1. What area did you stay each night? Keen to understand how far you got each day and if you felt that was about right in hind-sight? 2. Where about what that nasty "aborted" hill? As I am solo and not that good, may plan to miss it altogether, as opposed to try and turn round half way!
@MarkLewisfitness3 жыл бұрын
Hey Roy, are you on the TET facebook group? If not...join it! If you are, ask on there as a load of people have done it recently and the route/best camp sites may have changed a bit. I also ride fast, dont stop unless filming and ride very long hours so not ideal to base much on unless you do the same. As for the hill.....maybe in the bone dry it would be ok but I would caution anyone not "good" to try it alone. I forget where it was but if you mention my video on the FB group someone there will know the exact spot you mean!

Excellent vids. I did part of the GWT last month, me on a 701 and my son on a DR350. We had a great time and came to the same conclusions about the route as you. Our trip was cut short due to some mechanical issues with the old DR and me thinking that the standard TKC80s would be just fine even though it had rained none stop for 2 weeks prior to setting off. What tires were you using ?
