I love it. My son is barely 25. Almost ALL he will listen to is 80's metal and he likes alot of 80' s new wave too. He is absolutely fascinated by these men with long beautiful manes like lions playing this powerful masculine music and actually playing their instruments masterfully and skillfully. I have taught him well. He likes a man's music. So proud of my boy.

I met Jack Russell at the South Point Casino when the band came out to gamble past 5am, and he was pulling handles in my guard area. We talked for 20 minutes and he was genuinely appreciative of my naval service and love of the ocean. I told him I was interested in writing songs and he told me to never give up on my dream. I have not forgotten. This song itself was Jack Russell's rock and roll dream. He may never sing my songs, but I will sing his, and bring credit to him. Rock on Great White.

The point of this song is that ONE GIRL that trumps any and everything else. The one that felt like HOME. The one that you shared a connection with so deeply that you were one body together. When they are hurt, you hurt. When they are sick you go through the sickness together. The one that you would kill and die for in the blink of an eye without giving a second's notice. The one that made you feel like youd die without. The one that left and took a piece of you with them. The one that inked their soul so deeply into yours that you never feel whole again without them. The one who leaves a wound that will not heal in their absence. All you can do is apply pressure and manage the bleeding as well as possible. THAT GIRL.

It amazes me how at a time when so-called "hair-bands" were often charting that this song only reached # 57 on the Billboard. Hell, even Dokken's "Alone Again" only reached #64. Of course, Def Leppard's "Love Bites" made it to #1.... and, I do love that song as well. "Save Your Love" and "Alone Again" deserved much better respect!

@goooogrrr7 жыл бұрын
Yea Dokken made their splash just a few years too early. They literally we're one of the first "glam" metal bands. Kids liked it, but weren't QUIIIIIITE ready for it. Then they had their fracture with Don and George's egos, mostly Don's - Two unbelievably talented men who SHOULD have stayed together in the same band. Tragically Dokken never became what they could have been. They easily could have been as big or bigger than Def Leppard or far inferior and totally OVERRATED acts that went huge like Bon Jovi and Guns & Posers. Sad.

Long live the 80's. What a glorious time for the music industry. At 56 years of age it takes me back to my youth and what it means to be alive spiritually before father time takes it away.

Seen Great White with the Scorpions at one of the last concerts in Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena before it's demise. One hell of an awesome 2 groups together at 1 time! Still jammin to both cd's to this day at age 51. They almost cancelled the concert at the last minute, and so glad they didn't! Talk about play it loud! Awesome, that powerhouse voice and those drums, chills to this day. DS in PA
