While we're all chillin' on dry land tonight, there are giants like this just cruising around all over the world.

Two sharks in the dark

If this isn’t the stuff of what nightmares are made of, I don’t know what is. It’s terrifying just watching it laying in bed, I can’t imaging being in a distress situation, turning around with my light on and seeing this thing cruising back and forth.

Great footage and a big awesome fish and one that is plentiful in my country, Australia. We will be fishing for sharks from our beaches. Populated by swimmers and surfers, even after several attacks over the last year or so. Recording any information on the fish and releasing it in good health will be our priority, a practice that should be promoted in every corner of the globe. Don't worry about there being too many sharks, the countries that cull 100 million sharks every year will ensure that the only shark problem we'll ever have is a declining population of these beautiful creatures. What will make the news is that very unlucky person being in the wrong place at the wrong time and in their domain.

Hey, Chip! Such beautiful footage of a majestic creature! I'm grateful for your work around my home away from home, and that you aren't doing what OCEARCH is doing. (Thanks for the tip and awareness on them; quite disturbing information, the more I spoke to several Bios and Divers.) As your favorite #SharkConservationist and KY bred, SC girl, I'll be back on the island in June. I hope to see you soon, and catch up about your work. Thank you for all you do to help spread the message, and keep our oceans amazing and balanced. I don't think I asked, but where did you find her.. ?? Thanks, again, as always. ~ Kate

Please keep posting; you're a major inspiration to me and my work! Where exactly was this filmed?? :)

Is their anything better than Bourbon and Keeneland? Thank you, love hearing that. I took this video a few miles off Hilton Head. Its probably my worst one, but somehow it was shared a lot and picked up steam. Thanks again!!

Forgive me if this is an ignorant question but, how do you get the hook out of the shark's mouth?
@martiansarepunk7 жыл бұрын
Nic B If it's a circle hook or accessibly situated, a gaff will work it free. If not, you just sever the line/leader as close as you can get. Hooks work their way out naturally in a relatively short time in a marine environment.
